Ross Dress for Less — Local services in Elkhart

I find that the place is a disaster. Each time looking for something that Tjmaxx or Marshalls always have ample of, yet never finding it at this specific Ross.

Home Department- Slim selection and not great quality items. (I'll stick with Homegoods and Tjmaxx). Rugs are always super cheap quality.

Female Clothing- Tops seem to be more damaged here then any Tj, Marshalls, or Nordstrom Rack I have ever been to. Less notable quality brands compared to above mentioned at this specific store!!

Shoes- larger quantities then Mishawaka Marshall's. I cannot say I have ever found any I would buy though. The quality of Brands available when I have looked were not good.

Make up/ Beauty area- Hot Mess. Mostly due to customers trashing boxes to open them, testing makeup, or stealing it. They could have better setup for the merchandise, it seems an afterthought adding to the overall mess. They did have some Foreo Lunas in December 2020, which was shocking.

The men's Socks- winter sock selection was better stocked here then Mishawaka Tjmaxx. Idk about any other time of year.

Dog Toys- not even worth looking, have never found great quality toys. Tj & Homegoods always have good quality toys! The toys I found to be junk over the years, that do not last, are the only brands I have seen here. Not to say that they never have any good brands, but not in any of my shopping trips.

I just want to make one thing clear when it comes to shopping here. I see a lot of reviews saying that the store is unorganized and cluttered and that theres stuff on the floor. Also, that the cashiers are rude. What you dont undetstand is that its a discount store, so it gets shopped very heavily. The customers are the problem. I go in here and see people take clothes off the rack and literally thow stuff everywhere. They have people going behind them and picking it up. THATS NOT FAIR. Before complaining about the staff think about yourself as a shopper! Are you picking stuff up and putting it back exactly where its supposed to go? No. So dont complain about the organization of the store because obviously its extremely hard to keep up with customers who just throw stuff everywhere. As far as cashiering, ive read online that ross litterally times their cashiers. Thats a bit extreme ut its not their fault. So calm down and just be kind and think about the workers and not...

store is very cluttered and unorganized. Can’t fit carts down the aisles, especially if someone else is in the aisle. On top of that things are all over the floor so it’s hard to get through. Workers are rude and lazy! Faith was my cashier, asked her about a purse that another worker left up front she didn’t even try to find the purse for me! She told me to go ask the other employee myself! I had a lot of stuff and big items.. dog bed, bed set, pillows, etc instead of her offering me a big bag she just threw all my stuff on the floor! When I asked for a bag she told me she didn’t think the items would fit, I told her I still wanted the bag and fit my stuff inside just fine. She forgot to take beepers off my items. They don’t want you to take carts outside, but they don’t try to offer help to single people with large loads either. Not a good first experience coming from Kalamazoo just to go to their store.
