Stay somewhere else in River Run. We've stayed at pretty much every property in the village, and this was by far the worst. Location and service are always great in the village with Keystone staff, so you get that anywhere. But our room: had base board heaters which hadn't been cleaned in forever and so whined noisily all night, disrupting everyone's sleep. Meantime, even with the heat cranked they did not put out anywhere near the desired 70 degrees so it was chilly. this is the only building we've stayed in without building-wide wifi. Seems to be room-by-room, and our room's was broken. I saw other networks with pay to play. Who charges for wifi nowadays??? We missed the hockey game we'd been looking forward to as a result. building has access to two sets of hot tubs. The building-specific hot tub was broken and the gate access to the second set didn't function so maintenance had to come let us in. As always fantastic service there, the guy was awesome, but unacceptable that both hot tubs were broken in different ways. From other reviews, the one was also broken all of last season... Looks like they just didn't bother fixing it the pool, once we got in, was filthy lamest lobby/common area of all the buildings. Just a foosball table and couch in a small, cold entryway with an overwhelmingly potent air scent dispenser all three clocks in the room were wrong to a different time, which was sort of impressive sofa bed was tremendously uncomfortable even on the normal scale of uncomfortable sofa beds. Same brand as many of the other properties, we think, but so abused that it didn't really unfold right. Again, points to the poor maintenance of this building. Altogether, you can get the same benefits with better maintenance and amenities in other River...
Read moreMy husband and I love skiing and loved the mountain but our experience with the staff and lodging at Keystone was horrible. First, we were asked to move lodges due to broken equipment. This was fine overall but did move us further away from where we originally wanted to be. We then had to wait outside of our room for 50 minutes, missing our dinner reservation, because the new room keys we were given did not work. Walking into the room we found that the sink didn't work and both the curtains and AC were broken. Not a good look for the amount of money the room costs. Finally, when trying to speak to staff about our issues they directed us to an email address, keystonefolio@vailresorts.com, this was extremely frustrating as we felt we were being sent off into the void with no solutions to our issues. We have sent two emails now, on 3/31/25 & 4/7/25 with no response. With this level of service, we will not be returning and suggesting to others not to stay...
Read moreThe location of the Arapahoe lodge is great, but that is where the magic ends. Our room was gross! The walls had caked on dust and so did the fans. The walls were so gross we had to wash them before we could relax. Isn’t that how every great vacation should start? The walls were textured and the dust built up over time. The fans were disgusting. We dared not look behind the couch. Our unit needed a deep clean. The windows did not close all the way and the unit was cold at night. Also from a safety perspective a hotel employee walked in our unit while we were there without knocking and said they were there to fix something, we made no request for repairs. I emailed vail resorts twice times with pictures and descriptions of the problems and eventually only received a canned response. This was our typical ski destination, but after the condition of the room and lack of caring after the fact we will not return...
