I booked this resort for 3 nights with 3 adults and 3 children. The whole car was in awe as we were greeted by a security guard and beautiful grounds (that we could see at that point). My husband and I go in to check in and leave our 6 month pregnant friend along with the 3 kids in the car. We checked in and was ushered over to get our parking pass from another desk. At this desk a woman gave us our parking pass, and started talking small talk. "Oh I see your from Indiana. Did you fly or drive" We explained we drove straight through (22 hours) and everyone in our party was exhausted. Then came the time share speil. After about 15 minutes of this and getting offered everything under the sun - a free week at the resort - a week long cruise - plane tickets - a giftcard, we opted out. We may have accepted if we did not have kids and were staying longer. We were also walking zombies at this point. I wish she could have "read the room" so to speak. She very rudly then stood up and exclaimed "Your all set then". We got to our building and thought it was curious that no other cars were parked out front or back. We go up to the room and the smell of marijuana hit us like a ton of bricks at the landing. We also had to shoulder check the door to get it open. Upon walking in the room we found weather stripping for the door was lying on the counter. The outdoor balcony table was in the living room and the room was covered in leaves. We went back down to the front desk and they offered us a new room. We got a different room in the same building. The room looked a little outdated, but at this point I just wanted a shower, food, and a nap. Looking further into the room there was no shower head in the master bedroom. My husband tried to call the front desk with the in room phone and we had no direct line to the front desk. The person that answered the phone was part of the grounds crew or maintenace. He said he would be up with a shower head. We went back down to the front office. I was not comfortable leaving all my things in a room with no one around for someone to come in and have access to. After unloading we planned to go get something to eat. At this point, my husband spoke to a manager. He offered us another room in the opposite side of the complex along with 7000 points. We travel once a year, normally not in the Orlando area, we have an established resort we stay at so we dont generally stay in the Hilton chain. We were grateful for the offer of the points, until we figure out that 7000 points is a joke. It equals out to about $40. We get to this room and its completly remodeled. It looks great. All shower heads are intact and I see beds. Why was this unit not offered to us at the beginning?! We start to look closer at things. There was a hairball in the corner of the shower. The shower gel, conditioner, and the shampoo were almost all empty. The counters look like someone spread salt over them and the door out to the balcony had daylight coming through holes in the bottom of it. You could tell when they redid the unit, the metal strip on the bottom was not as tall as the old one. The holes were from the old strip screws. The walls were paper thin to the point where you could hear normal conversation through them. We had a very loud 3 year old with us. We could also hear our neighbors infant throughout the night. We turned the water on in the kitchen and no less than 10 knats flew out. Housekeeping is obviously lacking. We washed our shower towels as we did not get any new ones. I wish I would have read the other reviews before booking, but the photos were beautiful and misleading. The only good thing in the room was the washer and dryer. It was quick and efficent. The "water park" was ok, it kept the kids busy for an evening. The food was overpriced. I quite literally found things to do outside the "resort" to do. As we had such a short stay and had already paid through a 3rd party booking site, we decided to tough it out. These reviews obviously go unheeded as I have read several of the...
Read moreNEVER AGAIN !!!!! I am a hilton Honors member and only stay at hilton Properties even when I am out of the country. This experience may possibly change this. Might be time for me to explore other brands. The first night we arrived security didnt even have my reservation at the gate and I then had to prove that I reserved a 3 bedroom suite (15 mins of going back and fourth with security). My check-in process took me 30 mins, and 3 separate guests checked in while I was standing there. We finally get to our room and settled in and realized that now the heat doesn't work. It was 30 degrees (Fahrenheit) in Fl ! It was pretty cold our whole stay (3 nights) so we didn't get to use any of the water amenities that the property had to offer. We finally get to the room we find that the heat doesn't work !!!!! We then decided to take nice warm showers. Out of the 3 shower heads in our master bath, only 1 of them worked and boy o boy the angle and the water pressure was so horrible. Would of had a better bath in the sink. I had to end up using the shower in my parents room, which I must add had the loudest annoying screeching sound while running the shower. So now that we all have showered at this point it's time to get to bed. I think it was about a couple of hours into sleep and the fire alarm starts blaring!!!! Already frustrated at this point and thinking to myself this must be a joke like candid camera or something. No announcements were made to let guests know everything was OK, after about 10 mins I called the front desk just to make sure me and family were safe. They didn't even say sorry for the inconvenience and had no explanation to why this happened. But THATS NOT ALL, the alarm now goes off AGAIN AT 7AM !!!!! Once again no announcement. At this point I'm ready to pack and leave , My wife somehow changes my mind to stay( I was told a refund couldnt be issued). Now the next day we get back to the property around 10pm, still cold outside but temps in the 40s, my poor 80 yr old grand mother is cold because there is no elevator working and we were staying on the 5th floor . The elevator waiting area is all outside. So now I have to pack everyone back in the car and drive to the front desk to let them know the elevators werent working. We were all tired at this point and just wanted to go to bed. After about 30 mins of back and forth they finally got the elevator to work. Thankfully we get to the room and the heat is now working. Now I'm waiting for someone from guest relations to reach out about all that's been going on. I didn't get intouch with someone until 1 hr before checking out. After explaining all of these ISSUES, I don't even think the manger listened to me. All that was said is " sorry you didn't enjoy your stay we would like to give you 5000 pts ( about $20 bucks when booking with hilton again) to make this right. I spent $1000 for 3 nights. Couldn't use any of the recreational amenities available. Cold the first night and awakened twice abruptly from fire alarms. I usually don't write reviews, but this stay at aqua sol compelled me. Aqua sol NEEDS TO DO BETTER !!!!! Don't make anyone else feel like I did, As if you were doing me favors. I spent money there as a consumer and should be treated with respect and dignity. There is nothing DIAMOND ABOUT THIS...
Read moreOne of the most disappointing experiences I have ever had. We selected this resort due to its availability and their water park, so that my son would be able to enjoy. It was a quick staycation, getaway. First thing that is important to know, the photos of the rooms are not accurate at all, the advertised renovated rooms are only for a limited amount. When checking in, I was greeted by a renovated lobby with kind staff but who seemed to be rushed, then again it was late in the evening for a check in. I was told that my room was renovated but that couldn’t be less accurate. Our room was very outdated and very dirty. My wife and I had to buy cleaning supplies to bring it to decency. Before we did, I called the staff and they placed me on hold and said at the moment there are no other available renovated rooms to come during check out at 10am the next day to have it changed. We did as asked and was greeted by a very untrained and lost staff who kept giving me wrong information with a supervisor who didn’t bother to speak to me despite three visits. Most of the time I was told to call HGV main phone number to have the room and reservation changed. After 2 hrs of going back and forth I was told that the manger said there are no more rooms only upgrades to town homes. Not once was there no apology for the inconvenience or a shred of empathy given or an attempt to change rooms due to our situation. Only person who was willing to help was the “concierge” Diane who also over saw “tours”. She honestly showed empathy but only way she could help was to move me to a two bedroom but i would need to do a tour which we said no as we already are members and don’t want to waste over an hour out time to be convinced to buy more points. We decided to deal with it and not waste time anymore. The water park was nice, out dated but okay for little ones. The only honest perk about this resort is the location to Disney but other than that the amenities, rooms and staff are very below average for a Hilton product. On the last night the elevator was not working and we were on the 5th floor, when we called to report it the sent over security who basically stated nothing can be done we had to wait till tomorrow and gave a sarcastic apology stating “hey I have to walk up there to to give notices (which was never done). I called the front desk to verify and advised we have a toddler who is asleep to carry along with other items and my wife is pregnant. I was told the same dry apology and not willingness to assist given my wife’s state. While checking out, I wasn’t asked about my stay but instead rushed out but I stated if they can note on my reservation about our poor experience and the elevator issue and I was rushed away with a sarcastic in caring smile saying yeah sure, okay will do. Again no empathy and not once was I ever meet with an attempt to make things right. As a HGV member it truly was a poor overall experience, and extremely frustrating with the lack of customer care on both sides (guest facing and call center). No one accepted responsibility nor cared about guest satisfaction. I strongly don’t recommend this resort unless you have low standards or you are the very lucky few to get a...
