The experience, my wife and I have had was a very horrible and disappointing one and still is at this very moment. After losing, our be loved cocker spaniel at 11 years old after fighting cancer for the last five years we went against our grain and went and bought another cocker spaniel as we have two other dogs that we rescued and always have had rescued dogs. The puppy we have from Blue Sky came with two horrible parasite infections. Their contract states that if you go to the vet within two weeks and follow all their parameters, they will reimburse you if something like this happens. It has been nothing less than pulling teeth. We still have not received our refund. It has been over 30 days and if we hadn’t repeatedly called back and threaten litigation, I don’t believe we would’ve ever heard anything back from them. So far just that they are issuing a reimbursement up to this time, but there is more expenses, adding up as we speak, and God only knows what that’s going to take to get from them. We still have not received any compensation. Like my wife said, we just went through all of this care with our old dog now we have a puppy that we have to give care for. Puppies aren’t supposed to be sick. We are getting up at all hours of the night having to clean up diarrhea and it appears one of our other dogs has it. It’s highly contagious. It’s going to be very expensive and time-consuming and it is deprived us of a lot of sleep. Companies like this should not be in business. They know that on an average if they make it difficult for you to get your money back from vet visits that you will eventually quit trying. I think they get bad reviews and then put up a bunch of good ones to try to offset it because they know that no matter what people are still going to buy puppies from them. I feel like we rescued this puppy from them, but we’re having to work very hard and we really don’t have the money to handle this. I don’t know what the outcome is going to be, but I would NOT recommend to get a puppy from these people because chances are it will be infected and you will have no help from them. Go to a rescue shelter. We always have and never got a dog with parasites as they do proper precautions, Blue Sky puppies obviously knows there’s a big infection and they don’t want to shut down their operation because they’ll lose money so they would rather sell these sick puppies and give people horrible experience so they can line...

I am furious beyond words. We trusted Blue Sky Puppies in Clermont with our new Miniature Schnauzer, and what we got was a sick puppy and a nightmare experience. From the moment we brought him home, it was clear something was wrong. Our vet confirmed that he was not properly vaccinated, and we later learned that Blue Sky Puppies does not administer the Bordetella vaccine to save money on health certificates. This was directly confirmed by our vet.
To make matters worse, when we sought veterinary care, Blue Sky Puppies referred us to a vet all the way in Indian Rock, hundreds of miles away, instead of offering local support. This is completely unacceptable. Puppies require immediate attention, and it is shocking that this breeder would put families and their animals in this position.
This isn’t just an isolated incident. The Clearwater location of Blue Sky Puppies had its pet dealer permit revoked by Pinellas County Animal Services after officers found sick puppies, unsanitary conditions, and multiple violations. Over 170 puppies needed to be relocated, and the store was found to have co-housed sick puppies with healthy ones, failed to provide timely veterinary care, and disposed of deceased puppies without proper notification. This is the breeder we trusted to provide a healthy puppy.
We were told our puppy was healthy and ready to go home, but it’s painfully obvious that profit is prioritized over the wellbeing of these animals. Puppies are being sold without proper vaccinations, medical care, or attention to their health — all so the breeder can make a quick sale.
This experience has been devastating. We trusted this breeder to provide a healthy, happy puppy, and instead, we are left worrying about our puppy’s health, paying for immediate veterinary care, and facing the emotional stress of a sick dog.
If you are thinking about buying a puppy, stay far away from Blue Sky Puppies. Do not fall for their sales pitch or cute photos. They will sell you a sick puppy, refer you to distant vets, and leave you to deal with the consequences. Puppies deserve care, love, and proper medical attention — something this breeder clearly does...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I came on a Saturday after looking on their site the day before and seeing a male mini daschund who was absolutely beautiful so we knew what we wanted right away. We entered the shop and it was clean, smelled nice, and the staff was awesome. Jessica assisted with bringing us the puppy and helped with finalizing paperwork and going over our quote when we decided to finance. That’s one of the things I liked most, being able to finance made things a lot easier for us. Not alot of places allow you to finance, so I would definitely recommend this place if you’re unable to put down a lump sum of money when wanting to buy a puppy. Jessica also answered questions we had and made us feel confident that everything was legit and that we were taking home a healthy pup. She was overall very nice and extremely helpful :). We liked that he already came with a first round of shots, microchipped, AND the first basic exam and fecal test was free. They are partnered with coastal animal clinic and the first exam went really well. The only downside is that the closest one is in Tampa so it’s a little bit of a drive. Any shots needed, along with heartworm medication, is not free but it wasn’t too expensive. This was expected and not a surprise. Blue sky puppies even supplied us with wet and dry food along with puppy pads for the first couple of days. We’re really glad we chose this place to get our pup from because he’s super happy and healthy and that’s all we could have asked for. We named him Levi
