Read moreI NEVER HAD EXPERIENCED WHAT I DID TODAY IN MY LIFETIME - HUMILIATED, HARASSED and very DISRESPECTFUL BEHAVIOUR FROM THE STAFF AND THE OWNER .
I was humiliated today, in front of other guests sitting in the restaurant by one of the staff and then the owner himself. Me with my husband and 2 kids walked in at 10:20, before calling them to grab something quickly as we understand they close at 11. They said we can’t take order over phone you will have to come in person and max by 10:30. I was at McDonalds across street, around 400 meters walk. We flew for vacation to Orlando today and already had more than 12 plus hours of journey- my kids finished their McDonald’s food on the way while walking to the restaurant - and my little one just had couple of nuggets left in his box while we walked in and we were offered to sit. I placed the order right away as the lady said you only have 5 minutes to place the order- and we were already super hungry and tired, and I told the lady who came to serve me that please place only two plates as my kids won’t eat. Then this other staff guy walks to me and talks extremely rude to me saying “Did you not read the policy at door- outside food is not allowed”, I said I didn’t read it at first and even if it is, he is just finishing up his last bite of nugget- we have no OUTSIDE FOOD with us; and we just paced our order with you! He was non stop rude and kept on saying that if you had to finish the foods we have private space outside the restaurant. Then the owner came in and started talking to me so rudely and I said what if I had other toddler purée or food; you wouldn’t have let him eat- he said yes, outside is a private space and you can use that for it! By the time they all were around me the other staff person got our food- and the owner literally said “CANCEL THEIR FOOD AND TAKE IT BACK- they WON’t BE SERVED.
Like really- I was literally kicked out with my 3 year old son, my husband and my other son were actually outside at that time to quickly grab some groceries from store near by! I had to leave the restaurant HUMILIATED, HARASSED, HUNGRY- such a pathetic experience as a TOURIST - our first day of arrival in Orlando! Really sad to share- but I am so proud of the country I come from - - we don’t treat our residents and most importantly tourist in such manner! Will never ever recommend anyone going to this place! And will never forget Orlando with this worst experience...
Read moreDear Mr. Owner. I had no intentions to post anything what has happen with us yesterday at your restaurant, but your response on my wife’s review made me write.
As tourists who had just landed after a 12-hour flight, we were looking forward to a warm meal and a welcoming experience. Instead, what we encountered at your restaurant left our family completely shattered.
We were initially greeted politely, given a table, and had our order taken without any issues. One of your female staff also chatted politely few minutes with us explaining how this restaurant have 2 owners, one from Gujrat and Mumbai- India, and took our order happily, and we were very quick in placing order as well as it was a long day for us, were super tired and hungry and was quite late in night- 10:30 pm. My little one was simply finishing the last few bites of his food when, 10 minutes later, the manager suddenly enforced the outside food policy in an unnecessarily harsh and humiliating manner. If this was such a strict rule, it should have been communicated immediately when we walked in or were placing the order, and not after we had already settled in and ordered which was around 10 minutes already. And worst was when your staff member went upto you (and not that you arrived on your own after hearing my wife's loud voice as you have absolutely falsely written in your response) asked you to come in and resolve, you were even more disrespectful and rude to my wife and end up refusing to serve, when food actually arrived at table, (asked your waittrss to take the food back) and you asked my wife to leave .
Rather than addressing this issue professionally, and acknowleding this experience, your response included personal remarks on our upbringing and country we belong to, which is not only inappropriate and irrelevant but deeply hurtful. I expected a place of hospitality to show understanding and respect, especially towards families, traveling with young children .
I sincerely hope you reflect on how such situations are handled in the future so that no other family has to go through what we did, as we are still in shock after the humiliation we received from you and on how we were treated on first day of our arrival as tourist.
Hoping you to take this as an opportunity to better reflect on how you treat your customer's and ensure that furure interactions are more respectful.
Thanks...
