Studio 6 Fresno, CA - Extended Stay — Hotel in Fresno

Haunted room (240)!!!! Decided to stay At the studio 6 part of this motel bc of its location, good reviews, and its updated rooms. Upon arrival I was very disappointed. The rooms looked clean but smelled so heavily of cigarettes, cold, and felt very eerie. The room we were originally assigned to was on level one which was ground level but bc of the smell and the heat not working I asked to be moved. We were moved to the second floor (240). I immediately turned on the heater and it worked but the entire room had the same smell and eerie feel. My husband and I brushed it off and slept since it was the middle of the night. Again, we had issues with the hot water and was told it will be fixed tomorrow morning; I was upset, but right when I hung up the hot water turned on. As I laid to sleep I noticed the lights right above the beds had holes next to each one as if someone was watching us. The rooms next to us were noisy but again we brushed it off since it was the middle of the night. We slept ok that night. The following night was when we had our paranormal encounter around midnight. I was fast asleep but my husband wasn’t. That was When my husband said he noticed the door to the bathroom slowly opening all by itself wider and wider (this was seen from the refrigerator reflection). A hand was seen reaching out from inside the bathroom door gap and turnt off the lights and then on again. My husband said he thought he was dreaming and went to check out the bathroom only to find nothing. He panicked and I was awoken by him to pack my our stuff and leave. With very little explanation from him bc he was so frightened we packed and left immediately. Told the front desk we couldn’t stay and wanted a refund since we booked 3 nights. We were refunded just one night but that didn’t matter to me bc all we want was out. The time was 12:45am and after all a quick search online there was another motel about 4 min away and luckily we were able to get a room for that night and the one following. Major difference with our new room. No nasty ciggarette smell, the room was clean, very inviting feel, and very warm. Never going back to Studio 6 Yosemite location. There’s something in that room! Not sure what the history of that place is but all I can say is it...

The location is not exactly ideal, but averages out to be better than most. The room could be a bit cleaner. It’s definitely a rushed job. The front Lobby service not so good. Looks like 6-8months time under her belt is not enough training. She didn’t know how to run the system properly to check me in up front, then after a few hours she comes to my door knocking to let me know I didn’t pay a deposit, and said she called twice. My phone never ringed and the room doesn’t have a phone. Deposit? What deposit? A deposit was never mentioned. You ran my card and my ID when I was in the lobby. I am sorry if you never mentioned a deposit checked me in and cleared me to go with a keycard in hand. It is your mistake and not mine. I should not have to pay for your mistakes. Also you can't blame it on you being new only like 6mo to 9 mo. new that is just an excuse. If your management thought you was ready to run the show you have had enough training. If you felt you was not ready, then you are responsible for asking for more time or accepting those duties are not for you. Not to mention when working at a front lobby you should look a bit more professional not just some random outfit you throw together. What kind of establishment are we running here? Oh and did I mention the TV doesn’t work in any of the rooms (you did mention that think goodness ) so wouldn’t that be a safe approach that the extra money you are trying to get from me is...

I had a reservation for 15 nights. I had originally tried to reserve online but had messed up so called the facility in Fresno, talked to a very nice gal whose name I did not get, and explained what happened, we made the corrections, I requested a downstairs room due to our conditions and things were set. I had to call back and let them know one of our party was going to arrive before me and could she pay cash. I was assured this would not be a problem! My friend arrived and was told that was not motel policy and she would check my friend for $132 for the night and if I didn’t arrive before 2am my reservation would be cancelled. I am furious! She was rude and my friend said she was flirting with the relief person while she was on speaker phone with me and acting non chalant! I told my friend to go ahead and stay the night since it was already so late; however I immediately reserved a room for the rest of our time in Fresno, at another facility where we are treated with much more respect. She was also given an upstairs room which was also unacceptable.
