Hampton Inn & Suites Fresno — Hotel in Fresno

My family and I stayed there one night and our stay seemed pretty good Except for the fact that our tv kept flashing off and on, The volume was in and out so i called the front desk to tell them and all the person said was "oh we weren't aware of that." So anyways we checked in Aug 24 2018 for 2 rooms and checked out the morning of Aug 25 2018 We left there n came back home to San Francisco but i noticed that my credit card had 3 charges from The Hampton Inn I tried calling them to find out what had happened because my parents paid for both of our rooms But the staff kept telling me that I had 3 rooms My parents stayed in rm 221 and my kids and I stayed in 220 But the person I spoke to kept trying to tell me I didn't stay in those rooms To make a very long story short, the woman I spoke to whose name I believe was Carissa told me that her DM said the only way they will refund my card is if I can tell them who stayed in that room and give them their information How the hell would I know that? Their staff at the front desk somehow made a mistake and are charging my credit card for that and for that reason I am writting this review. But I spoke to the DM myself the following day and she said the only way she will refund my money is if I give her the other people's card and info???? Then she also went into threatening whomever put the rooms on hold for my family saying they violated some policy My whole family was in Fresno to bury my cousin who died suddenly at age 35 and rather than admit that the staff made a mistake they wanted me to pay for a room I didn't reserve I didn't authorize use of my card for nor did I stay in that room they charged me dor The DM also said something about someones card being declined which was neither my parents nor mine obviousky because they charged them But she wants me to give her information on something or someone I don't have So I guess...

Summary: if we ever make it back to Fresno, would definitely return to this hotel.

details: Friendly service: everyone we encountered were friendly like they were proud of the job they do and desiring to do a good job (in other words they have work ethic which I'm proud of them for!) nice breakfast which included eggs, sausage, and potatoes. theres is also the waffle maker with two flavors of batter and fun variety of toppings. Theres also cereal, oatmeal, etc. Room is comfortable. Queen beds could be bigger (seems like there are 'small queens and big queens' when you visit hotels, so these felt a little on the smaller size but again where fine.) Bathroom felt a touch small but otherwise is nice (the space instead was devoted to the room space which is plentiful). The shower was really nice, good water pressure with a shower head that had multiple settings, no issues with temp or pressure. Room has a microwave and fridge. The AC/Heater may be noisy to some but others will appreciate the 'white noise' it provides when on. The unit had no issue keeping the room cool.

I will probably find a different hotel for my next work trip. It may be due to the side of the hotel I’m on, but the road is very noisy and cars race down the road with loud engines regularly day and night. The walls and floors seem paper thin as well. I can feel my bed slightly shake when someone walks down the hallway or up the stairs (I am just on the other side of the stairwell). The live tv also never will load on my tv so my only option is to use my personal login for Netflix etc which isn’t a huge deal but it would be easier to browse the live tv if it worked. Also housekeeping only made the bed, did not even take the trash out that had food leftovers in it from 2 nights (they only do housekeeping every 2 days), and did not replace any used items such as the makeup remover wipes. There is also no way to call to the front desk (dialing 0 does nothing on the room phone and there are no other instructions on reaching the front desk). So I will ultimately have to take out the trash myself otherwise the room will start to smell. Just overall kind of a bummer experience...
