Well, you'd better get yourself cozy, because this is gonna be a VERY long (but good) review.
First off, I've only stayed here twice, and both times have been in room 3, so I don't have too much experience, but I have enough to leave an honest review, so here goes. The staff is VERY friendly and helpful, and if I call to say "I'd like some more towels" or something similar, they don't waste any time getting them to me. Me and my family had no trouble signing in because because the lady that was in the office (I can't remember her name), was very helpful and answered any question we fired at her.
The room and the little porch area outside the room was very clean and well-kept. I checked all the corners and even under the bed, and couldn't find dust or spider webs or anything. Of course, there was a LITTLE dust in some places, but hey, no place is perfect. The two times we went, they haven't yet remodeled the room, but to me, it didn't seem like it needed any work done. The shower had an incredible amount of water pressure and the water got SUPER hot (which I love), and most 4 star hotels can't even get that right. The toilets were clean and worked as they should, and the same for the sinks too.
The beds had nice little quilt-like comforters on them, and we're very clean and VERY cozy. There were no hairs or bugs hiding in the sheets or pillows. The worst thing about the bed was the fact that I dropped an Oreo crumb that I didn't find until I later thought it was a bug on my pillow, which nearly gave me a heart attack. The pillow I had on my bed was soft, squishy, and it smelled really good! I had an incredible night's sleep every night I've ever stayed here.
The walls aren't really thick, so sometimes you can hear some other guests that have been out partying. It's not right off the parkway, so there isn't much vehicle noise, which is a huge plus for me. Parking can be a bit tight if there are a good number of people around you, but if you've got a smaller car, it's not that bad.
Now for the little things, because we all need to enjoy those too! -There is a microwave and a small fridge that both work really well. -If you stay in or around room 3, there is a Pokéstop (ask your kids) RIGHT outside your room to grab your daily berries and balls. -The television was a newer flat-screen, so there wasn't any "smack it so it'll turn on" nonsense. -The pool is heated! -Sometimes, there were ducks that would come and sit by the room, and we'd take pictures of them, because they were cute. -In room 3, there's a separate room, so if someone in your family snores, you don't HAVE to hear it all night.
Well, that's all that I could think to say about this place. If you're thinking to yourself, "hey, that guy didn't say anything bad about this place," that's because I honestly, truly couldn't find anything bad to say. It's a homey, lovely little place, and I'll most likely stay here every time I visit Gatlinburg. Thank you for reading all this, and PLEASE let this be your new favorite hotel.

Read moreOur room was very clean and cozy. While the rooms are relatively small (as expected since this is a motel), you can tell a lot of thought and care was put into the finishes and design. The door had a screen door with a hook, so you could let in some fresh air if desired. There is a collapsible table and chairs that easily tucked away. The mini fridge was a little bigger than your typical hotel fridge, and they even had a microwave. The shower head was better than the standard, and had the detachable second shower head. The sink, while small, still had a little ledge above it, and spaces for the soap so it doesn't slip off into the sink. These things may seem relatively minor, but for me they really made a positive difference; many other chain hotels or resorts don't even take these things into consideration.
There were plenty of towels, a spare blanket, and enough pillows to go around. The mattress was comfortable and the bed had a couple drawers under it for a little extra storage. There were sufficient plugs and charging ports for all of our devices.
Each room had a couple rocking chairs right outside, and there was some nice seating available in the common area by the pool. There is a little swing overlooking the creek, which was very relaxing.
There was some maintenance happening on the exterior of the building a couple of the days we were there (sanding, staining, finishing, etc), but they never started too early or continued too late. To me it showed that they really take good care of the motel.
Parking is good as they have nice wide spots, and each room has a designated spot so there is no need to hunt for parking.
The motel is conveniently located and is easy walking distance to the Village and downtown area, but it's not so close that you hear any noise or crowds from downtown. There are pretty views all around, and you can walk to some trailheads and are a quick drive to some others.
The only downside was that the wifi was fairly weak in our room. Maybe it was just the room we happened to be in, but it was fairly slow and a bit inconsistent depending on the time of day. Not a deal-breaker for us as we were on vacation and mostly looking to enjoy the great outdoors, and I was able to use my phone as a hotspot if I really wanted something faster (both verizon and tmobile seem to have perfectly good coverage here). Generally the wifi was sufficient enough to at least do a basic google search, but struggled with youtube videos or long scrolling feeds for example.
Check-in and check-out was very easy, and the people in the office were very friendly!

Read moreWent to Gatlinburg with my S/O for a couple days and after researching a bit we landed here, and we're so glad we did. The only thing we really care about is cleanliness, which this place thankfully was. We were in room 15, which is a "Superior Single Queen" style room.
Pros: Motel room was clean! No bugs, no stains, nothing felt "dirty." There was some dust under the bedframe and a single plastic wrapper from the mints they provide, but that's it.
The room had a cozy, rustic feel to it. Wooden floors (no carpet, thankfully), wooden walls, wooden ceiling. Bedspread was like a quilt you'd find at your grandmother's house with wall decor to match.
Nice seating area outside by the creek as well as a few rocking chairs on the stone porch in front of the room.
Pretty well quiet throughout our stay.
Staff was very friendly and check-in/check-out was quick and easy.
Motel was close enough to walk, but far enough away not to be bothered by traffic, lights, noise, etc.
Bed and pillows were very comfy.
Cons/Possible negatives (these are more like nit-picks and didn't really bother us at all): Room was pretty small, if you're a family looking to book here, go with a suite. You aren't fitting more than 2 people in the Single Queen rooms.
No breakfast served, just some coffee in the office.
Parking is pretty tight, the spaces are big enough, but if there is a big truck parked in spot 19 it's a tight squeeze to get out.
Overall this place was great! It doesn't provide a whole lot of "extra" stuff, but it's nice, it's clean, and it's very affordable. We would gladly recommend this place to anyone and will likely stay here again next time we are in Gatlinburg.
