We stayed in unit 109. Last minute Labor Day getaway. This one was a once and done for us. Upon arrival, we spotted an old bed frame thrown in a hole beside the entrance. Entry into the room was super easy. We first observed the wet, damp and musty smell as we entered the unit. We looked around and decided to make the most of it. We brought in our luggage and , prepared to settle in for the weekend. We immediately discovered that the vertical blinds were missing slats. Anyone standing beside the pool could easily look into our room. The kitchen sink was gross and the blender and frying pan were deplorable (see pics). There was a thick layer of dust on all surfaces. After inspecting the bathroom, we noticed there were hairs on the walls and ceiling. I will say that hot water was plentiful and the water pressure was top notch. The toilet needs to be upgraded. It is definitely not ADA compliant, definitely low to the floor. I'm not sure if that's the standard but it should be. The toilet was also very wasteful. It used a ton of water for no reason at all. We them proceeded to the bedroom to unpack. That was a definite no. The closet area contained the water heater, some extra pillows and a tray table. There was not any space to store anything in there. We noticed an antique wardrobe and thought maybe we could use that. There we a few hangers, a dorm size ironing board, some paint and very little space. There were some small drawers but the whole thing smelled. We didn't want to store anything inside. We ended up using the dresser on the other side of the room for dirty clothes and never fully unpacked our luggage. The bed, oh my gosh, the bed. It was horrid. The absolute most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in. We contemplated on dragging the mattress into the living area. The only reason we didn't do that or sleep on the pull out couch is because there was no privacy because of the missing slats. And please consider another source of lighting in the bedroom. The two small dusty lamps did not provide adequate lighting. The smoke detector was lying on the dresser up on arrival. We never tested it but did inspect for a date because it appeared to be outdated. Overall, I do not recommend this particular unit. I can not speak for others but this one is a definite NO!

We stayed in room 602. If you enjoy broken furniture, moldy carpet, military like mattresses , fungi growing on patio, broken blinds to provide no privacy, outdated decor, and having to curtosy flush then this is the place for you! We originally had room 505 & apon arrival it hadn't been cleaned so they "upgraded" us! There is no staff present after 5 pm ever! You can't just dial 0 to get the front desk. You have to call from your phone like you would call any other place of business and then leave a message. People leave their garbage outside of the elevators on ground floor, and guess what happens in the mountains when one does that? The doors open and your greeted by a black bear! Yep. True story. The location and pool is the only thing that this place has going for them. Wish there was a way I could get the owners and property managers info, because I sure would like to call them. I had to wash ALL the dishes before using them. There was still coffee in the mugs juice in glasses and food on the silverware. But hey! What would a vacation be without the luxury of house hold chores? My favorite feature by far had to be the broken coffee pot that leaked everywhere! It's fun cleaning massive coffee messes 1 st thing in the mornings. The close second was the TV cords exposed in the bedroom. That made for a very romantic setting. The holes in the walls and broken smoke detector in bedroom just added to the sexiness of this bedroom . I just love feeling like I can't touch anything in this room without a haz mat suit! Fun times! The broken blind slats shoved under cabinet and in closet as well as behind sofa were a nice touch. We are not spoiled people, or hotel snobs, we just expected to have better hospitality, as well as a clean room. Guess we expect too much!?!? One housekeeper for the entire place. Seriously! Olde Gatlinburg Condominiums. Get it together! Seriously folks! Don't stay here! Camping would be cleaner!

This was our room 4B . We booked this place because of the reviews. Clearly our room did not meet the standards. Bugs, mold and blood . The room itself was big! When we booked it said king bed but it was clearly a queen. Didn’t sleep in it due to the blood stain on the side of the bed. Wore slippers the whole time because the carpet was nasty. Didn’t open my bags because of the dead roach that was under the plastic piece on the corner of the wall in the kitchen/dining room. Exposed wires from the smoke detector ( there was one on the opposite side in the room). Black plug outlet (not a big deal) but the black mold and falling bathroom ceiling was not cool. We had to stay the night because of how late we got to the room. They did refund us one night. From the reviews everyone talked highly of them. Not sure what happened with this room but definitely needs to be fixed before others stay in this room.

My friends and I had a terrible time at this facility. If it wasn't for the poor management, it would have been fine. We paid for a 2 bedroom 2 bath condo. It was room 407. Right away when we arrived we noticed a problem with our toilette in room 407 by the middle of the night (and after a few uses later of course) the water flooded to the point to where it was sitting outside the bathroom door. Looking at the cabinet by the toilette, it is obvious there had been some major water damage occurring for awhile. We waited until the office opened at 9AM and reported our problem. Around 1PM we got the call saying the problem was beyond his repair and they would need to call a plumber. He told us they would have to shut the toilette off and that we couldn't use it. He told us he would let the office know. As soon as we arrived back (this is about 1:30PM) the office told us they talked to maintenance. Of course we were upset that we were short 1 bathroom (we have 4 guest total, 3 guys and 1 girl) and the only bathroom that was in use was the private bathroom (you have to go through a room to get to). We asked if we would get some sort of refund or if we could change rooms since we clearly paid for 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Lady working the office said she had called her boss and was waiting to hear back and that once she did she would call us. Well by the end of the day we had not heard back and decided to stop in and find out what was going on. Apparently the bathroom issue was "out of their control" and they couldn't offer us anything. Well the facility was nice enough to leave the soaked wet towels still in place. Basically our bathroom floor was soaked in urine, feces, and toilette water and there was NO effort to address the health concern. There was bacteria growing on the floor and who knows how long it has been there and if there has been any effort to clean it up. The office staff was very nasty and mean to us the entire stay. They were absolutely no help and I am still pretty upset that we could not have been offered anything for the inconvenience. I was in the private bedroom and did not feel comfortable having men come into my room in the middle of the night because they had to pee. The place has bathrooms by the pool so the guys used the public bathroom. One had to go down at 3AM to use the bathroom because I was asleep. Apparently the place turns off ALL the lights after certain hours so they had to walk in the pitch black, down 4 flights of stairs to get to use the restroom. Simply ridiculous and unacceptable. We will be contacting the better business bureau about this. We also will be making an effort to contact whoever is in charge of the facility.

Along with the one toilette not working, other issues we had was; the other toilette was wobbly and felt unstable, the phone in the kitchen was sticky and had someone's hair stuck to it, there was MOLD growing on the spare phone in the closet, place was not overall very clean, there was a hole in one of our walls, the balcony has hot air blowing onto it because of the AC unit, balcony does not lock (there is a wooden broom stick that keeps it locked), not able to use bathtubs (showers only), dishes were filthy, Wifi does not work, cable is limited and looks rigged.

I have no idea if other rooms have had similar experiences. I would NOT ADVISE anyone to book room 407 or the room directly below it because of the chance of mold growing in the ceiling from toilette water containing feces and urine. If you wish to also deal with friendly staff, this is not the...

An older property but I would definitely come back since we didn't break the bank!

We stayed in a 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment on the top floor.  It was well decorated, very cohesive throughout. For the most part the apartment was clean, all of the ceiling fan blades could use a good clean and the vents in the bathroom could also use a good dusting but I've been to many rentals and it isn't often these things get cleaned. If they were it would make the room feel much more fresh and clean.  We weren't inside a whole lot, a little downtime here and there, and we did manage to get to the pool. The pool felt clean and the temperature was very comfortable. There was no trash anywhere on the property when we were there.  There was 2 pairs of broken goggles on the pool deck but that is the fault of a lazy guest.  Location was great! We were able to walk to the main street where all of the activities were. This property is located a quick 3 minute walk to The Village (old world/European buildings full of different shops) and about a 6 minute walk from Anakeesta.

There could be a bit more attention made when checking the apartment. The lights above the kitchen table were mismatched with dimmable and non dimmable bulbs. The lights in the ceiling fan in the master bedroom weren't even working, possibly a broken or loose fan since the lights would flicker but not stay on. All three TV's weren't working and all the remotes provided were on the same signal so when we got one TV working and tried to get another working the 1st would go out.  My husband is very experienced within the tech field and he couldn't even get them working. It was a bit worn down. The rug was pulling away from the edges where the carpet meets the tile, a few of us stepped down and got stabbed by the carpet tack strip. Putting down a transition piece could be a good fix as replacing carpet in the entire apartment could get costly. I asked about a comment card on the way out as these few things aren't deal breakers, but there wasn't a comment card and I had to try to explain the "bad" things to the front desk.  It was on our way out so I just told her about...
