Wienerschnitzel — Restaurant in Grand Prairie

10:00PM January 7, 2021 - Me and some friends drove from Denton to the Grand Prairie location (which was an hour+ with traffic). i haven’t had Hamburger Stand/Wienerschnitzel since i was very little so i was REALLY looking forward to coming here. We arrived around 10PM and went through the drive-thru. Then, we were impolitely told “When you’re ready, you’re on my time.” in a sarcastic and offended tone. We brushed it off and started to order, which was repeated back to us correctly. We get to the window and they took close to 10 minutes to greet us, when there were no other customers because they were busy talking to each other. We were told at the window our total was $25 which was odd because we didn’t order that much, we paid it anyway because the lady walked away to continue her conversation with her coworker. I double checked what she made us pay and what we paid in my calculator on my phone and was handed back the WRONG amount of change. I thoroughly read the receipt and saw i was charged for an extra item that WAS NOT repeated to me, so i, rightfully, was upset at this point for the lack of management displayed to me. We get our food a few minutes after this and as i’m checking i realize they gave me a WRONG ITEM that i paid extra for. As i go to tell them they walk away from the drive-thru window AGAIN to go talk to each other. My boyfriend, who was driving, got upset and drove off. We parked in the McDonald’s parking lot and began to eat our food, which looked like it was just slapped together and thrown in our takeout bag. so, we start eating and, honestly, it tasted unpleasant and ruined my appetite due to the events which took place. ok,let me start off with ,me and my son have been going here ,for a few years now,and have never once had a messed up order or bad service,untill tonight,,so for the i will still give the place 5 star,well tonight we ordered what we nomal do ,,i do not like ordering from the lil short mexican ladie,she always has a bit of a addtide,and you have to repet your order to her like 5 times,,and way ,i wanted the #1 with an extra chilli cheese dog,with shredded cheese and grilled onion on it and my son gets a #5 and we got some chicken dippes,i clealer siad half pound like 7 times,when she randg it it up it was ,$11 more then it should of been,she was trying to charge for a pound,got tht clead up,we get our food,and no oinions ,and the other kind of cheese was on them,so i took it back up there,the slammed the food into the trash and mumbled some in spianish ,then told the cooks the re mak the order,i said oh no ,just give my my money back,she also got an addtude with another customer becuase she didnt wash her hand and the customer saw her,she yelled at the ladie,i was pissed at this point,so we were leaving,on the way out,the owner was sitting on the ground by his car asking for help ,he was drunk as could be,we called the police on them ,he was trying to leave,i have never seen the owner in this state,he is a nice guy ,i dont know what was going on at this store tonight ,but i will not ever let that ladie take my oder again...

My boyfriend has been complaining about not having any Wienerschnitzels around, and we had a bad experience at some of the other locations. So when we saw this location from the highway going to to the Grand Prairie Outlet malls, we decided to stop by.

I got a corn dog for myself, since I wasn't super hungry but wanted to try the food.  Definitely one of the best corn dogs I've ever had!  The Boy says the chili cheese dogs were the best dam ever (he didn't even save one bite for me!), Service was fast enough, much faster than other places I've been, and the girl working the window was really nice!

So long, story, after we shopped BF made me stop again, we went inside, and the place was packed out the the door. Took about 7-8 minutes for us to get out food, but staff was extremely friendly. After the rush died, the manager came by and apologized for the wait and wanted to make sure everything was ok. I finally got to try the chili cheese dogs, and wow!
