KFC — Restaurant in Grand Prairie

I have gone to this KFC for years. I will say we’ve had our ups and downs going there, but generally we’ve enjoyed the food. It’s KFC, so you know what to expect. Having said that, we’ve been ordering through DoorDash for our food. It makes it easy, simply because we can place the order on our way home and have it as we get in. It’s just easier all around since we try not to make too many stops on our way. I know that this seems like I could fix it by going to the restaurant myself, which may or may it be true, but I figure it’s up to the restaurant to make sure the customer gets what they’ve ordered.

Now, I’ve already called out DoorDash for not having the driver figure out the order was nowhere near correct, but I want to call out this particular KFC because the last 3 times I’ve ordered from them they have found a way to completely screw up the order. It’s either missing part of the meal, which I then have to find a way to replace for the one of us who didn’t get it, or like today l, they completely screw it up. How you think few tenders and a little chicken sandwich makes up for a 12 pieces meal is beyond me! I realize I shouldn’t have given over so many chances to this. I take the blame completely for repeatedly beating my head into the wall. I knew they screwed up on a regular basis and still tried to hold out hope they wouldn’t mess up this time. Lesson learned. Haven't eaten KFC in ages but since they have the deal where you get a free 8 piece bucket deal with $15 purchase, I thought I give them another try. The 8 piece bucket price is $22 and only choice is original. I bought the 5 piece (extra crispy 3 breasts, 2 wings, mash potato, cold slaw, 2 biscuits, and 2 medium drinks) meal deal for 2 for $15. So this came out cheaply for me to try KFC again. The 8 pieces in the bucket are pretty small for regular price of $22. The 5 pieces of extra crispy chicken are impressive larger than Popeye's pieces. So $15 for that deal is alright. Now, for the taste. The original chicken is pretty bland with no flavor and kinda dry. The extra crispy chicken has no flavor but a bit too salty for my taste. Only good tasting are the mashed potato, cold slaw, and the biscuits. Overall, it is too expensive for not really good tasting chicken if I had to pay regular price. The staff are friendly but for not good tasting chicken, I won't be back...

The last several visits have been terrible. The woman at the window is awful. She is rude and appears to hate people. This last drive thru visit she got upset when my wife asked her to wipe off the drink cup because it was all wet from them over filling it. The woman rolled her eyes and gave her a dirty look. While wiping it down you could tell she was talking to fellow workers. When they put the sandwich in the bag they looked down in the bag and began laughing hard. We threw the food away when we got home. No way were we going to risk eating something that was most likely tampered with. We will NEVER go to this location again. And if we had video we would turn it in to the health inspector office. This location has gone down hill and in the dump. We called the manager after a visit last month and by her tone and lack of concern she didn't care one bit. Wish we could give this location a negative...
