If I could give this hotel a zero star review, I would. By far this is the worst hotel experience that I've ever had. We booked via Expedia for a King bed, but were put in a room with two, twin beds. The desk person said that since it was booked via Expedia that she couldn't do anything about it. For for three nights, my husband and I had to have our legs and feet hanging off of the beds because they were so short. During our stay, our water in room 318 was stopping mid-shower. I called the front desk about this issue, and the desk person said, "what do you mean it's stopping." "Like, the water has stopped coming out." She said she would send a maintenance person, but I asked her to wait 30 minutes because my husband was naked and would like to cloth himself before they arrived. We left and when we came back there was no note that someone had been in our room or that the maintenance person had stopped by. You receive "free breakfast," but be warned that it's only well stocked when it first opens. If you wake up and go down around 8 or 9, you'll likely have to purchase breakfast elsewhere. They don't seem to restock their items during the morning. Very inconvenient. Also, be warned that their stores are incredibly difficult to open. I literally had to kick them open every time to enter our room because it was so difficult. If you planned on using the hotel's soap, shampoo, and conditioner (which we did to avoid spillage in our suitcase), you'll be disappointed in the cheap quality. The soap literally ripped out some of my husband's arm hair. We ended up having to just purchase our own items. For people who work in the hospitality business, the employees were unknowledgeable and lacking in pleasantries. The only person who was friendly was a man in a grey suit, who I assume would be a manager or a GM who greeted me one morning in the breakfast area. For the amount that we paid, we received an extremely low and disappointing stay. Next time that we're in the see family, we will certainly...
Read moreAttempted to stay last night. Booked room through Honors app as we are Honors members. On the app we CLEARLY told agent we had a small 15lb dog. Were given a price for room, and we reserved. Arrived at hotel and AFTER we checked in as we are walking thru lobby the desk agent informs us there’s an additional 75.00 non-refundable charge for dog.
Now, not disputing the fact they have a charge, but that we booked and checked in and were then told. At this point we attempted to either cancel or negotiate a lower price. Desk agent then tells us, no, we can’t cancel and we’re stuck paying for room. I asked he to escalate to manager and she did, but then proceeds to tell manager on phone we tried to sneak dog in and refused to pay. Both were absolutely dishonest, we did no such thing and attempted to correct her, no avail. Manager agreed to let us cancel BUT THE CHARGE Is still on our card. We are disputing with card company.
Avoid this location at all costs. They are rude and dishonest in spite of our trying to work with them. We said we were happy to pay a small additional charge but she refused to consider.
We stayed at Holiday Inn Express across road and they treated us with dignity and respect.
We are also lodging a complaint with...
Read moreI stayed 2 nights in a regular single king bed room. It was okay for me, but a lot of folks might find it unacceptable. Cleanliness was the chief complaint.
Positives- Plenty of hot water. Microwave in the room. Fairly sizable tv compared to some rooms I've seen with plenty of premium channels to peruse. (No casting capability though, I was disappointed to learn.) It was pretty quiet for my stay. I also never once had to deal with front desk staff due to the capability of the app with electronic entry. Internet was speedy.
Negatives- The floor was unvacuumed and had what appeared to be bits of broken skittles all over it, and the bathroom floor was sticky. There was a dog smell in the room, but it was mild. I also found a few small, well washed blood spots on the sheets. The room wasn't very well lit. The shampoo was empty, but the other soaps were fine. I checked carefully for signs of bugs, as I'd seen complaints in other reviews, but I found nothing. The interstate can be a bit noisy, but that's not their fault.
Overall, it was a place to stay, but left quite a bit to be desired. I'd try one of the other hotels in the immediate vicinity rather than stay here again,...
