What an absolute nightmare! I have never left a bad review and this is my first. We are here for my sonâs sport. We ONLY stay at Marriott hotels- whether itâs for a sporting event or on vacation at one of their higher end brands. My husband booked this hotel since it looked like the best option in the area that we needed to stay in. My husband booked, with confirmation through our bonvoy account. We showed up to check in with two exhausted children from traveling and the HORRIBLE front desk person - that didnât even look like he worked there because he was in a hoodie and a Beenie hat, tells us our room was canceled. He told my husband we were called and emailed in the morning (NOTHING was EVER received, no messages on the phone- no email in spam) - He acted with complete disrespect. Then tells us that if we were 40 minutes earlier our room wouldnât have been given away but now it was and âoh wellâ. My husband was on the phone with Marriott last night- who were helpful and hopefully Marriott will correct this. Then itâs 9:00 pm and we had two hysterical crying children in a state far from home as my husband went into hotel after hotel in the area looking for a place to stay that wasnât fully booked. An absolute nightmare. We had to stay at the comfort inn down the way as it was the only option. Not a brand we would EVER stay at but we needed a place for the kids to sleep for the night and this hotel (which was booked and confirmed well in advance) has people that do not represent the brand at all clicking buttons and saying âgood byeâ. I am MORTIFIED at this experience and I hope Marriott does something about this horrendous experience for my children, my...
Read moreBoth a Marriott Bonvoy Titanium and a Hilton Diamond member, I'll start by saying this is a great Fairfield Inn. Probably among the top 10 I've stayed in over the years. Clean, bright, comfortable and friendly, it's all you can ask for in a Fairfield Inn.||||My wife and I, both retired, just completed a six week long trip around the country. This was our last stop before getting home. We were getting a bit burnt out on hotels, and this one was just the perfect place for our last night on the road. We booked a 2 queen suite, and it was lovely. Lots of room, nicely furnished, comfy beds and 2 HUGE flat screen TV's. Breakfast was a notch above the standard Fairfield Inn, and well presented. It was obvious that the person in charge of breakfast and the dining area took real pride in doing a good job. ||||In fact, of all the nice things about this hotel, I'd say that the employees are maybe the most standout feature. Every staff member---from the breakfast guy, to maintenance, to housekeeping, and especially the desk staff---were among the most welcoming, friendly staff we encountered on our trip. ||||Looking at the Tripadvisor ratings, based on my experiences, there is NO WAY this is the 7th out of 8 hotels in Greenfield. I can't imagine there's a nicer place in town. My advice is to ignore those negative reviews.||||Only con? We were on the second floor (there are 3) and there's not much sound insulation between floors. I suspect the people above our room had kids, and their footsteps were VERY loud overhead. Next time, I might request a room on...
Read moreSpent two days here for a little get away, during valentine's day weekend, and loved it. We got two rooms for my husband and myself and two kids. The staff was so helpful and the hotel was very clean. The pool area was open until 11pm and the fitness center is open 24 hours. The breakfast was really good and they have someone serve it to you, due to covid. They are pet friendly and that's such a great plus. The rates are really reasonable, especially for how nice everything is. Rachel checked us in and it took no more than 3 minutes to pay and get my room keys. One room had a bath and the other had a walk in shower and was so nice! It was huge, modern and really beautifully designed. I am not one to really notice all of the details but since returning home I have been looking into herringbone tile for my bathroom. Each room had a huge TV and really comfortable beds. The two double beds had a little bench and nice chair and little sitting area. The king room had a little sitting area as well. Both rooms had microwave, keurig, and mini fridge. Everything you may need for a nice stay. They have a little 'store' near the front desk and are also close to many restaurants and stores. Right off of the interstate, also. I would absolutely...
