I regret staying here. I stopped in town to see my very sick uncle one last time. Needing a place to stay for a night, I reluctantly stayed at this Super8, hoping it would be okay just for 1 night. I was wrong. They put my boyfriend and me in a room that had bugs all over the walls. When we went back to the front desk, they said they had 1 more room left. This 2nd room was also in need of repair with patches and stains on the walls, crumbs on the furniture, a cracked bathroom door, and a tv that didn’t work. You could also see that the front door had been kicked in multiple times as the latch had been replaced multiple times with little care in the replacement. Being as exhausted as we were, we decided to stay just for the night. We stopped to check out the “complimentary breakfast” the next morning only to find 1 piece of toast and a single English muffin. That was it. As we checked out, the front desk apologized for not having a Queen room available as that is what we had requested. They did not acknowledge this at the time of check-in for either room and seemingly only mentioned it now before we had a chance to say anything. To top it off, I called the very next day because I had forgotten something in the room. They told me to call back in 30 mins when house-keeping arrived. When I called again they claimed they hadn’t found anything. I told them exactly where it was and offered to go get it myself. They hung up on me. I called again and the front desk attendant who checked us in and out answered. He again refused to admit they had my belongings and hung up on me. This place needs to be shut down and I will be getting my money back. DO...
Read moreUpon arrival the first thing that I noticed was the smell of the lobby, as well as no one at the counter. I stood there for a long while before I was noticed. Then couldn't hear the man speaking at all behind the plastic as he proceeded reasking me ALL the already completed check-in questions, to each and every one I had to say "I'm sorry, what?" And repeatedly stick my head up to the hole, while he never spoke any louder and was clearly very uninterested in customer interaction or support, yet I was also prompted multiple times to express check in online to not have to upon arrival and even offered a room upgrade for an additional cost which I completed and requested 7 hours prior to arrival. The mobile interactions you have and are advised to do DON'T actually make it to the property apparently. Once I finally got the room, I walked in and it smelled like a dirty locker room. Terribly of mildew/swamp and was literally damp. Every time you walk in the room it punched you in the face, the floors are filthy, there is black mold inside and around the edges of the air conditioner. The chain lock on the door was broken and appeared to have been kicked in before. Left the place with a sore throat, that was progressively worse as the the days passed. Leading me to just leaving in the middle of night prior to the checkout day to just begin my journey home early to not have to remain there, even on no sleep. If this wasn't the only thing available in the area during my stay due to the festival in town. I absolutely would have stayed elsewhere. Definitely not worth the cost, will not be returning during my...
Read moreThe door cards took at least 8 - 10 attempts to get in the building every time we tried to enter the building or our room. No USB ports anywhere in the room to plug in for our phones. I don't sleep well laying down, and could not get a recliner to sleep. The CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST was a complete joke! Hard boiled eggs was the only protein, 2 types of cereal, toast, mini muffins, milk, apple and orange juice, and fresh apples was the entire option!! There wasn't even any coffee! No coffee pot in the room. So we paid roughly $100/night to not sleep well. Microwave didn't work at all. The guy on duty Sunday night was rude to my husband at the ice machine. I had called to the front desk and was going to go get some quarters for the washer and dryer, but had to use the restroom and didn't make it down there quick enough. He called our room and rudely informed my husband that there wouldn't be anyone there, so we had to carry home our dirty laundry. The lady working the counter, Shirley, was lovely, friendly, kind and gregarious. Her I will give Kudos too. The room was clean and no sign of bugs or hair in the bath tub are the only positives regarding the room. We will NEVER stay there again. I'll pay the higher rate to someone else. Not impressed. I should have looked into AIRBNB. We checked out a day early, and did receive the credit for...
