WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!
Walked in as a foursome, around 5pm on Thursday Oct 15th. It was my friend’s request for her birthday; it “WAS” her favorite restaurant. Several people were loitering around the hostess stand, and no one was there to help. After about 5 minutes, a lady finally showed up. There were maybe 4 tables of people there and no one at the bar. The restaurant was definitely NOT busy at all. Showed us to our table and our waitress, who was only 2 weeks on the job, took our drink orders. 15 minutes later, she arrived with the drinks and a basket of rolls that were cold, tasteless and stale. She began taking our order. We had several questions, which she didn’t know any of the answers so she had to leave to go ask a manager. After starting our order, they were out of the following: blue cheese dressing, French dressing, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions and carrots. So the salads had lettuce, croutons and cheese, that’s it. We order our meals and then wait, and wait and wait. She brought more rolls which were much better the second time around. The meal finally arrived after almost an hour wait. The birthday girl got the “ultimate feast” which she always gets. The crab legs were COLD inside, her fried shrimp were tasteless and her garlic shrimp didn’t have any garlic flavor at all. My husband got the new fried Lobster with noodles. He said you couldn’t taste anything like lobster. The deep frying made it taste like bad oil. I got the shrimp dinner, and again, the shrimp had NO FLAVOR of shrimp. It tasted like fried breading. The other guest said his meal was as bad as all of ours. The waitress offered dessert to the birthday girl. It was SUPPOSED to be an ice cream sundae. It was a bowl of ice cream only, because they were out of chocolate syrup and everything else that went on top. The waitress was nice enough, but definitely NOT trained enough to be on dinner service. She needed a couple more weeks of training and shadowing. She should have at least known the menu. All four of us used to LOVE Red Lobster and now it has go to the top of the WORST places in Heath to dine. Never again!!! It took us almost 2 hours from...
Read moreI want to start off saying how upset I am to be posting a negative comment about what has always been my favorite Restaurant. But, am very upset with how things went there Today. The food was excellent as usual but ate in a rush to leave. My daughter took almost her whole meal home with her but I do not like Seafood reheated so I did not. The waitress was awesome. However...The first section of seating was done good with a empty table between each guest. Our section however was not. We were seated by the windows in the 2nd section and were the only ones there. Then, they brought in another couple and seated them directly behind my daughter. The next couple with a baby were then seated directly behind that couple then another couple directly behind me. 4 tables all back to back with us in the middle and a completely open section with Noone else in there. All empty tables. This is a big deal to me due to COVID-19. They should have handled this better for their Customers. I have an Oldman with Leukemia at home. He has been fighting this for 8 years. I do not go to many Restaurants because of this but in the past Red Lobster has been good with there Customers and could be counted on the look out for us during the Pandemic. So, it is with a heavy heart I say I won't be...
Read moreThe Staff waiting table seems to be unhappy and is without appreciation to have a job, just to mention the least about my experiences there. If that daily normal they will never make money, red lobster needs waiting staff to understand tips come from giving great service with a smile Dining Experience. I would rather self serve and tip the cooking staff. I suggest rehiring or have training classes on how to earn and bank lots more money serving tables. Class#1 Being motivated cover's maintain cleanliness and a respectful atmosphere while representing the red lobster brand and How an enjoyable dinner there will gain repeat business, and how satisfied customers returning to dine again will tip higher amounts. ( Or go to a straight wages policy and charge more for the experience. eliminating the serving staff's demand for tips. Giving servers a 25% tip does not make for better service, they serve all tables alike... as if they work for a straight wage, hence the need for history lesson) Class#2 Tipping definition of and why it occurs, history of(in the USA), and how word of mouth shares the dining experience to others and will effect a servers income(their lifes)...
