FlatIron Historic Sandstone Inn — Hotel in Hot Springs

WARNING, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!

I have been VERY disappointed with ever doing business with this company and the woman who runs it, Kara (who doesn't even live in the region and only does business out of state). I have been in contact with her for a few days attempting to set up renting a suite from her. I even drove up to Hot Springs and went out of my way to go see a unit on specific day. I called her that very day to tell her that I was DEFINITELY interested in a specific suite. She later called me that evening to give me her contact email to send her the dates I was to rent out the unit etc. However, I needed to know how to pay for the days I was to rent it out. 24 hrs goes by and she NEVER responded back to me via phone or my email. Then I find out that she went behind my behind my back to rent it out to another client! Boy she was very misleading and VERY unreliable. She should have informed me another person was interested in the unit...

Her properties are nice but she was rather rude to me. She put the unit I was renting from her on the market while I was living there. People were in and out of my unit, and the upstairs unit. The property sold, but she did not give me the option to continue to rent another space from her. I had no where to go because I couldn’t find another rental. I was scheduled to move out on a Monday, (due to job relocation) and she promised to reimburse the money back to me if I left before then. I moved out 2 days before that Monday. I never saw that reimbursement. She expects her money either before or on the day of, but didn’t reimburse me as she promised she would for those 2 days. My friend and I loved staying at this inn!!! The owners were super responsive and unobtrusive. They went out of their way to check on us throughout our stay. The building itself is gorgeous. Little touches like organic coffee in the living room and a wide variety of tea, organic products in the bathroom, healing crystals in the rooms, homemade hand sanitizer, and a map where you can place a pin on your hometown made this inn really charming and comfy. Their backyard was green, shady, and beautiful. We enjoyed our morning yoga in the backyard. Plenty of parking in the lot and on the street right outside of the building. Highly...
