Smokehouse Sports Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Hot Springs

A group of 4 of us went here for a late lunch. We visited the area for the Hot Air Balloon festivities. A vendor told us to go to the smokehouse because it had the best food in the area. We arrived and found our own seats. Upon seating we had to wait for the waitress/bartender to greet us. She, Mercedes, came over and brought us menus. We tried to order our drinks but were told that there were tables ahead of us and we’d have to wait. Yes, it’s a Saturday & there’s an event in town but there were still open tables and it wasn’t that busy. After 10 minutes she came back and asked us for our drink orders. We ordered a water, a prickly pear cider, a sweet tea and a margarita, we wanted to order our food but she wouldn’t let us. When she came back with our drinks, margarita was amazing, we were able to order our food. We ordered a salad with chicken, a burrito bowl, (2) 2 meat platters. The food arrived quickly and was delicious. The burrito bowl needed some sour cream which we asked for after trying the meal, Mercedes never brought it. She also asked us if we needed drink refills, we asked for another margarita and another glass of water, didn’t receive it for another 15 minutes AFTER we asked for it again. The table was never cleaned off nor were we given napkins. We LOVED the food but because of the terrible service would never be back....

Wow! This place.. what to say... We stopped after a recommendation from the hotel we are staying at. Where to start.. well if you're a dart player, currently they have 5 boards in a separate room to throw in. Awesome. The food. The food! Smoked meat..done to perfection. Not dry, salty, nor do you need to add any. Perfect. I had sliders and Mac n cheese.. so good! Homemade BBQ sauce.. please sell this sauce! The Mac n cheese was fantastic! My partner in crime had the smokin Mexican burrito. He says it was fantastic.. but what kind of description can you expect from this guy.. 😏 I had a piece of the chicken from it, and it was done to a tee. We had a chance to talk to the chef, and his passion for cooking and this place is intoxicating and addictive! He does a fantastic job. Mercedes does a great job on the front end, experimenting drinks with us out-of-towners.. so fun! Wish I lived closer as this would be a regular stop for me. So we like to play darts on the weekend. We decided since we moved to Hot Springs. We might as well try the local places that have darts available. So we set out to this place. Since it's down the road from where we live. We walk in and see the dart machines, and immediately, we ask the waitress. Who is sweeping the floor? Is it cool if we play darts. She proceeds to tell us yes. We loaded 5.00 into said machine. To be informed, there's a dart benefit about to start. In 5 minutes..and there is no way for them to refund my 5.00 i put into the machine. If someone had said i would comp some drinks and get you menus." We would have stayed. Nope, they took us as tourists, not locals. Oh too everyone that ate there.. zoom in on the grills that they cook your food on.. and the fly traps dangling under them. Nope would will not ever ever step foot inside of this...
