We have travelled all over the USA and this is one of the best BBQ places we have visited. Daniel is the head chef and a true pit master. He knows how to do BBQ right, low and slow and only serves fresh.. nothing reheated. The sides are also fantastic and the Mac n cheese is an absolute must. Have the 4 meat and have a sample of everything. It’s all tender and the sauce is just the right balance of tangy and sweet. Everything is made from scratch daily but keep in mind that the BBQ pit menu is only available on Friday’s and weekends, more days in the summer but get there early to guarantee choice of BBQ meats. Trust me this is a place you want to stop for lunch or supper. Bravo Daniel and Mercedes!

Traveling instructor looking for dinner and found the only restaurant open on a Monday night in Hot Springs SD. Amazing brisket chili and sliders. Sitting at the bar they have a great selection of beer and friendly staff. Great selection of hot sauce and the tacos were a great value and delicious.

Omg, I wish I lived closer. Living in NC BBQ is taking pretty seriously. We had the pork, and wow, was I impressed. The fresh margaritas and specialty shots are absolutely worth a detour.

Went in for the Smoked Prime Rib on one of the many new grand openings and Prime Rib had great flavor but was cold. I also asked for au jus and was given a LITTLE container with lukewarm au jus. The menu also showed a loaded baked potato and I got a bare potato and when asked I got a side of cheese and sour cream. They never took it back and loaded the potato with what should have been on it. I was never informed by the server that would not be part of the meal so that was a miss. I liked the flavor and as this was a local business I wanted to try it again.

Went back with family on a Thursday night a few weeks later and we all ordered the steak burrito. WOW what a disappointment again as everything did not taste fresh. For the price charged you would expect a lot of Mexican flavors but it tasted like 3 day leftovers stuffed in a burrito shell. The steak was COLD and the rest of the ingredients were mediocre. We all did not finish the meal and went home to eat leftovers. I had high hopes and really do want a local business to succeed but with this food and service I am not sure. Maybe I will try again in a few more months and after that I will...

Smokin' Mexican puts the HOT in Hot Springs! We almost gave up hope finding good food in Hot Springs until we decided to try what we thought was just a "bar" with bar food. Its Far from bar food. Hubby ordered the Smoked Prime Rib Special. It was cooked to medium rare perfection and absolutely delicious. I ordered the Smokin' Pork Sandwich and it was mouth watering juicy! The homemade Mac & Cheese is the best I've had at any restaurant. If they added bacon to their Mac, it would be a fantasticly naughty caloric delight. We rarely order dessert but since dinner was so delicious, we decided to be naughty and order the homemade Churro Cheesecake. It was Excellent! Since we were on a roll & everything tasting great, why stop? I ordered a homemade Jolly Rancher Watermelon shot. Bam Good flavor!!! The Cons - it could have been served a tad warmer & they were a bit stingy with the horseradish but we'd give them a 10 anyway! Plow through the construction to eat here because its the only decent restaurant in Hot Springs! You won't be disappointed with their great food and kind folks...

Who cares about service when the food is so good. Local place with an out of town chef working magic with food. First taste was of the mac and cheese. Macaroni was a perfect al dente. The jalapeños were not a typical add, but it made my mouth water AND I’d order it again. Spouse had the brisket tacos. Awesome. She said it was the best Cole slaw she had. It was simple and pure with not a lot of added flavors. I had their BBQ with slaw on top. Remarkable. Best BBQ so far.

Chef has 7, yes I said 7, smokers. Tastes can be tailored and perfected.

Chef is from outside the area. So if you’re a foodie and want a unique combo of tastes, made with fresh ingredients, with a chef that babysits his smokers, stop here. If you want bland food, don’t come here.

This is a do again. Oh, and the beer was plentiful and the service good. Based on other reviews, to those who need excellent service and that is what makes or breaks the meal….. stay home. The service was good and friendly...
