I tho had a disappointing experience yesterday which I feel compelled to share. My app would t allow me access to book a room last minute so I called the help line and a very pleasant rep managed it for me online. My request was a pet friendly hotel as I had my two small dogs with me which is a rarity. I checked in and a pleasant desk attendant (female) greeted me. It was late and I reminded her I had two small dogs and she gave me a one page doc which I assumed was a waiver to hold me liable for any damage or pet stains etc that were in the room when I checked out. I signed it without looking at it. I have 100% confidence in my dogs but I understand the issue and Marriott needs to have that penalty in case they need to invoke. She did say there was 100.00 deposit or something not sure the word she used on my cc which is naturally again for their protection. Neither the phone agent or the desk attendant mentioned there was a 100.00 fee for the pets (plus tax) on a 150.00 room. Maybe I’m naive but the communication was not good and the fee...
Read moreWe checked in on 2/9 and upon arrival the product presentation was great, spacious for us being at a Residence inn for the first time and can tell it is new construction. Room being large in size but felt short on pillows so I needed to go back down to get a few for the pull out for my kiddo. Took close to 20min to get the pillows and when the agent couldn't get a hold of the housekeeper she said she said she would go herself. They came back together and berated her in the lobby. I spoke spanish to the housekeeper on my way out and told her not to worry about it since it was clear the front desk agent couldn't speak it. So that was disturbing. The other thing I will mention is very concerning is the amount of scents this property is pushing though the HVAC system, in the lobby area, elevators and others, some bein very drastically different. For me as someone who has severe allergies and asthma especially to pine I had a reaction to this and my wife who has autoimmune issues it also has affected her.
