I really love this GameStop. It has the best staff with everyone being very helpful and friendly.
The only reason why this is getting a two star review is because of a recent experience. I had called ahead to ask what the camp out policy was and they told me that nobody would be allowed to form a line until the store closed at 8:00 PM, but when I arrived at 7:30 to get a good parking spot, there were already 8 people waiting in line, 2 of which told me they had been there for a few hours. Because there had only 15 and everyone there told me they were getting the max of 2, it meant I had no chance of getting any product.
This would have been fine if I hadn't been told that no one would be allowed to form a line until close.
I am not sure how much could be done to prevent this, but if you are not going to enforce a policy, then don't tell it to people!
Also please lower the limit for major releases like this to one per person. However I believe that this change will have to be made at the corporate level, and I doubt they will considering how much Pokemon hype is...
Read moreUnfortunately my husband bought a switch on online...The order canceled itself for no reason but still charged our bank. I was trying to be understanding, however after going into the store they just sent us to their online customer service. We called as soon as we left the store. Customer service has an hour wait!!! So we have to wait on the phone for an hour to talk to a real person. I am very frustrated!
The next day after we stayed on the phone for an hour we went back to the store. Casandra helped us out and was able to make it a quick and easy process. We were so happy when we left. She was easy to talk to and very understanding. We were also impressed by her ability to multitask with responsibilities in the store. She handled everything very well and made us feel important and understood. We are glad that games stop has someone like her...
Read moreI always hesitate to go to any Gamestop because I am not a fan of aggressive sales tactics. Seems things haven't changed. This location is the worst in my experience. Prepare to face serious passive aggression if you aren't interested in a used copy of the title you're trying to buy. Another customer seemingly felt the awkward situation as I had to clarify multiple times that I wanted a new copy. They spoke up that there must be an item code or something bundled with the game I want. I didnt even have the chance to reply. The employee just smugly shook their head and stated that, "Nope. Exactly the same as the used copy, but you do get to pay $40 to be the first one to rip off and throw away that shiny plastic."
