What a wonderful steakhouse. We were seated in less than 5 minutes, our waiter was so nice to us and talked casually, our food was perfect, and they got our dessert out in less than 10 minutes. Going into detail, at first we were asked for drinks, the normal; then we received bread and butter, again, normal; then we were asked for any appetizers and we were in the mood for some chicken. We ordered spicy chicken bites, and the presentation on these was marvelous, not even taking into account the taste of these wonderful little poultry bites. The flavor on these spicy chicken bites were like nothing I’ve had before, such a strong, tangy flavor. The dip was most likely just more of the sauce that the chicken was glazed in, but personally I feel it completed the whole dish. When they had brought our food out, I had seen the marks on this 20oz. Outlaw Ribeye and knew that digging in would be even better. I had leftovers for 2 days after that dinner!; that’s how big it was. When we had everything boxed up and ready to go, we knew we couldn’t leave without dessert so we got their Cows Herd I believe was the name. Beautiful cake with ice cream. The toppings on this cake were like shavings of chocolate and a chocolate drizzle, Im not sure what the frosting was but it was good. The cake wasn’t to rich and it was not to moist. We spent probably $77 dollars on all of this. Great team, great food, great place. If you live or visit Idaho Falls, this is the place to get dinner.

So this was our first time coming to this amazing restaurant and all I can say is it was absolutely awesome!!! We were seated immediately in the booth that we requested and then our server showed up to take our order for drinks and appetizers. Jodi was amazing making sure that we had our drinks and our appetizers well before our main course. We had the Wild West shrimp, and the Texas Tonion both of which were quite delicious. We had 3 kids meals and they were also spot on. My wife tried the Grilled Lamb Chops with a loaded baked potato and I had the cheese burger with bacon and seasoned fries. We also had to try the delectable lobster chowder! Our food was served hot and perfectly made to order. And since it was our 9-year-old's birthday this week, Jodi went above and beyond and brought us out an amazing happy birthday 🍨 sundae with enough spoons for everyone to share. And then the manager came out introduced himself and thanked us for coming in and generously gave me a handful of gift cards for a free appetizer or dessert to hand out. The wonderful service we received, the overall atmosphere and of course the food is why I'm giving Longhorn Steakhouse a 5 star rating 😎

Unfortunately, this bad review is based almost completely on poor service. This is a restaurant we always look forward to coming to but something was off today (Sunday). The only time we saw our waitress was the initial ordering and then after I walked to the kitchen and asked for her to come over. I ordered the Flo's filet medium rare but it came out rare- literally purple in the middle. I waited for 5 minutes, not eating, for our waitress to come check on us. She didn't so I asked someone in the kitchen if they could send her out. She took the steak back and it eventually came back out- clearly just put in the oven so the steak is now well done and gray. The cooking ruined this piece of meat. Once again, our waitress did not come back at all to check on us or ask if it was better. We only saw her again to get the check. Very poor service and cooking that is not up to Longhorn standards. The New York Strip for guest 2 also lacked the normal sear on the outside. Hopefully this is a one time experience as we enjoy eating here normally.

Two visits, both excellent and consistent.

First visit was a standard steak visit. Both ordered salad, French onion soup and ribeye steaks. The salad was superb, icy cold with delicious dressing. The French onion soup was a delight. Hot and crusty on top, cheesy and gooey and oniony and rich.

Steaks could not have been cooked more perfectly, cut more excellently, or served more appetizingly.

All the employees who attended our table were well-trained, pleasant, and friendly without being pushy or interruptive or annoying.

Our second visit was less traditional. One of us ordered French onion soup and a baked sweet potato. That was all, but she was treated as though she had ordered a full meal with all the complimentary sides and dishes.

I ordered French onion soup and chicken strips with french fries. We did order the onion petals for an appetizer. They were delicious, but completely unnecessary.

Again, the French soup was superb and as described above. The baked sweet potato was perfection, fluffy and tasty and sans cinnamon as ordered.

I don't know how to describe the chicken tenders except they came down from heaven. The chicken itself was toothsome and soft yet completely flavorful with an unbelievably tasty breading that clung to the chicken yet gave away in the mouth. The honey mustard dipping sauce was a revelation. It tasted neither of honey nor mustard but was some kind of creamy and balanced marriage of the two. Dipping the tenders in that sauce never became boring. All the way through to the last tender.

We ended our little meal with cheesecake. We ordered strawberry cheesecake. It was served on a chilled plate with chilled spoons. The strawberries were served cut but not macerated or sauced. There was simply cut and left in their natural state. This was a delight as we are not fond of sauced and sugary strawberries. They could simply be enjoyed on their own in their natural state or as an accompanying bite with the cheesecake. The cheesecake could be enjoyed on its own or accompanied with a fresh strawberry. Cheesecake was perfection.

Chandler was the primary server and he was very helpful very kind, very clean and very attentive. His accompanying staff of food runners and table clearers were also attentive, helpful and Johnny-on-the-spot.

This is a fun and relaxed yet somehow upscale restaurant. If you're driving around and just want to go someplace nice on a whim, give this place a go. You will...

So this would have been a 3-4 star review, although the food was alright it was nothing to write home about. The waitress was very attentive and did her job well, but some of their practices were not great, and i wasn’t going to call them out, but after i see they went ahead and ran my card for more then i agreed to… well then guess i will. First, as i said the food was alright, i had the rib eye and my friend had the ribs. Rib eye was really kinda lacking in flavor, the juice made it better, but definitely better steaks in town. The ribs were tender, but the sauce had no depth, the only note was sweet, almost overly so, shame because otherwise the ribs were pretty good. We both got the mac and cheese, which we weren’t asked or told there would be a $3 up charge for. We were however told about the up charge for their strawberry salad, which my friend got, and was the star of the meal. Definitely worth the $3 up charge for that, but skip the mac and cheese, it wasn’t great.

Now to the bad, on top of the not being asked or informed about the up charge for choice for side, which i get it that happens. The “recommended” tips are around twice what math says it is. Bill was around $48 and they had listed almost $10 as “15%”. Although not alone in this practice, i still find it kind of a dirt bag move when restaurants try and slip that past, especially when they tote It as trying to help you. Now we come to why it’s 1 star. I take a look at my bank account today and see the check posted to my account, and I noticed something quite odd, it wasn’t for the right amount. i might not have noticed had it not ended in .10 when i always write it for an even amount, so that way i know it was a tipped meal, and makes keeping track of eating out easier when i look back to budget. I checked my copy of the receipt to he sure, since i actually filled out the wrong one first and sure enough, it was for more. If it wasn’t for such an obscure amount i would assume it was just fat fingered, but i have to assume maybe i was charged yet another undisclosed up charge… Who knows, but i know i won’t be returning if this is how they...

One of the best steakhouses in town! My entire family loves this place! My husband and 2 teenage boys always get some kind of steak entre, my boys usually get one with shrimp. Steak is always cooked and seasoned to perfection, shrimp has always been moist and delicious. My younger kids usually get the chicken strip kids meals which come with 4-5 generously sized strips. They love the honey mustard dipping sauce that comes with it, even though my daughter doesn't normally like mustard at all. Prices are what I'd expect for a steakhouse, though I've heard some people say they thought it was expensive. Most meals come with quite a bit of food (particularly the steak entrees) and will satisfy a large appetite, which is a tricky business with teenage boys who are bottomless pits! 😄 The service everyone we've gone has been top notch. Attentive staff and servers who help make the experience even better.

Only drawback for me personally is that the gluten free options are VERY limited, they always bring a few loafs of fresh bread with honey butter to the table before your meal. This is great for everyone else, but not ideal for me due to a wheat allergy. It's been hit and miss for me having a reaction to some kind of cross contamination. It's hard to say if it was people I our party getting too crazy with the bread, or if it was the handling and prep of the food I actually ate. But if you don't have to worry about a wheat allergy or celiac, definitely worth trying out! The staff do try their best not to cross contaminate and my most recent experience their was great with...
