I wish I had taken a photo of our room because it was FANTASTIC and exceptionally CLEAN! In the entry was a large mirror on the wall with plenty of space for my workouts. We had 2 queen beds, with plenty of space between them, and little sideboards to place water, phones, etc. There were many fluffy pillows and soft, warm blankets. The beds were super comfortable and supportive of my aching hips. There was a big TV with a quality picture, multiple USB charging ports located throughout the room, as well as several outlets for plug-in devices. There were multiple drawers and a closet for storage, a large sectional couch that converted into a full-sized bed, which was also quite comfortable. There was a large ottoman, a large bench, and a good-sized bar with a comfortable rolling chair, for doing work or eating, and a recliner with a little desk. There was a small fridge, a coffeemaker, and a microwave. The tub, shower, and toilet are together in a room with a door, while the sink and large vanity counter, and mirror are located just outside of the bath area.
The staff is friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. You can tell they enjoy being at their jobs and have a passion for the hospitality industry. The hotel is currently under renovation, so workers are present, and they are also friendly and surprisingly quiet. We stayed two nights and never felt disturbed by their work. We were impressed by how great of a job they were doing with the renovations, and how clean they would leave their work areas. Our view was from the 6th floor overlooking the beautiful falls and Greenbelt area and it was fantastic! There is a snowcone vendor in the parking lot of the hotel, and lots of restaurants and shopping close by within a short walk.
The lobby area is beautiful, with multiple tables for eating, doing work, and visiting with friends. There is a TV, a small grocery area, and a big breakfast bar area as well. Rolling carts are readily available for your luggage, and the two elevators make the short commute to your rooms a breeze.
What a wonderful stay at an...
Read moreChecked into (dirty room ) "Falls View 🤣" We were told that the guests that had previously checked into the room, pulled back the covers and decided they didn't want the room. That being said, housekeeping, front desk and/or manager failed to inspect the room before booking it again. We were given a different room that was actually a Falls View and not dirty(on the surface). PROS: The only nice things I can say about the room, is that the view was awesome, 4th floor, and the beds were super comfortable. CONS: Bathroom lock didn't work, Front door squeaked terrible, (WD 40 to the rescue) Door stop behind the door was shoved into the wall. Bathroom smelled musty/ unclean, Hot water only worked when it wanted to, Toilet didn't flush right, Advertise that they have a pool but it's not even at the same hotel, Pool was slimy, fence surrounding it was dangerous, Front steps are carpeted and covered in debris( pine needles, dirt etc) The handicap accessible RAMPS are in serious disrepair, with cracks and loose rock everywhere. My six-year-old wiped out and messed up her knee pretty good(still has a huge bruise and it's been almost 2 weeks) trying to move out the way for an older lady. I have a hard time believing an elderly person with a walker could navigate it. No lamp on one of the bedside tables Men's bathroom in lobby area was out of order the entire time The garbage cans in our room looked like they have never been washed out, left over garbage and food stuck in the bottom. The pull out couch had rips in the fabric on the cushions. The carpet appears to have never/rarely been cleaned, I walked barefoot and my feet turned brown, literally. Do not pay in cash because they will not give you your money back if you check out early. It's a fact, front desk literally told me that when I tried to pay with cash. I said F#@k that I'll pay with a card! We left 2 days early because it was such a s@#t...
Read moreThis has the potential of a great Destination Hotel. Rooms are pretty neat design but need work. Great views of the Falls close to great places to eat and the trail next to the river is great. BUT, This place is slowly getting more rundown!! The we're wrappers and garbage behind the TV. Nothing was dusted. When filling the tub, black stuff started floating in the water. The microwave had something exploded inside of it. Windows to the balcony where not washed. So disgusted but we were there for work and no other hotels had rooms. I tried to get breakfast about 8:30 8:45 as they close at 9. People were scrambling in since they all knew this so it took a bit to get breakfast.. The toaster was a 4 piece toaster and only half of it worked. People were complaining that it kept burning the toast so you had to pop it up yourself. I waited patiently in line then decided to set my breakfast down and come back. It was 9:03 when I tried to walk back in and I was told that breakfast was closed. I said "Yes I know. I've been waiting for 15 minutes to get get toast." She tells me " I've been trying to close it for 5 minutes. We're closed!" I understand her position, but it was a piece of toast. I had been waiting since before she was closing up. I didn't try to sneak in at 9:00 (closing time) Seems to me if you can't provide a toaster that works, you should accommodate the guests who have been waiting. I mean, it's maybe a $30 toaster. My room paid for that. I'm not so upset at the toast but the service. A homeless person would treat you with more respect that some of the employees. Hope you can start cleaning the rooms and get some good employees as this hotel could be...
