My family and I stayed at this hotel starting from April 30th and then checked out on May 4th. My family and I were there because my daughter had to have some medical tests done at St Vincent and then we were also there for a little vacation. This hotel experience was atrocious. Prior to the hotel stay I paid my hotel fees in full through hotels.com. nowhere did it say that I had to pay a $50 deposit when checking in. I did not learn about the deposit till I checked in. So I pay the deposit obviously but that was just the beginning. When I booked my hotel room, I booked for a double Queen room. It says it right on my reservation. I was put in a double standard room which was two full size beds. I had five people with me. My youngest child we made a bed on the floor for him because he's prone to falling off the bed and those beds are really high up off the ground. So we had a total of four people sleeping on the beds. Let me tell you how hard it is to sleep with two people on one full size bed. Then after that one of their maids accused my husband of smoking his cigarettes in the hotel room which he did not because he went outside every time he had to smoke a cigarette which they would have seen on the security camera had they looked. Then we asked for towels to go into the pool and to shower with and they would only give us two towels knowing that we had five people in our room. Then after my daughter was discharged from the hospital and my third night in the hotel room, I had spilled water on my blanket and I asked for a clean blanket. I received a military scratchy wool Brown blanket and it was very uncomfortable. Not to mention the phone in the hotel room didn't work and the remote to the TV did not have a back on it. There was also rust in the bathroom where they have the kleenex box. Next, my kids got some what I think is either pizza or ketchup stains on the blanket and maybe the sheet and I got my deposit taken away. My deposit was taken away for stains that could have very well been pretreated before they washed it. I left that room the way that I received it, aside from the normal cleanup of sweeping and getting clean linens. Their TV was nice but they didn't have very many channels or a whole lot to select from. Let's talk about the breakfast. First and foremost it is very nice of them to provide breakfast for everybody. However I believe they can have a little bit more of a selection. They offer pancakes which made using through a pop cake machine by waving your hand and it makes three at a time and they're very small. They also offer muffins and cereal and yogurt. They also offer coffee, apple and orange juice. It would be a lot better if they offered like sausage or bacon with the pancakes and maybe some eggs. Something with protein. Otherwise the breakfast wasn't that bad. Their pool area was clean but had no towels. They had a hamper for the dirty towels but no towels to use. My experience with this hotel was not that great and even though it's a Days inn I do expect some common decency and understanding and compassion. Which my family and I barely received. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. But to reiterate about my deposit, to keep a $50 deposit over a couple of stains on a blanket and/or sheet is ridiculous. One more thing to add and that is at night the Halls would smell like marijuana. Also the power outlets in fixtures in my room were broken or cracked. One of the lights between the beds along with the outlet did not work. I will say that the room was pretty clean. And one last thing there wasn't even a coffee pot in the room but yet they had coffee cups for the morning right by...
Read moreThe illest experience ever. In God I trust 🧎🏾♀️🤲🏾 Liked · Nothing Disliked · My room had to be it was me and my three sons when I checked the bed once I got in the room the bed looked like it had your room all in the bed so I never had anywhere to sleep at the The Man 😄💙 at night service told me to come back in the morning and that’s what I get. They told me that they would give me a discount and I will have to pay for an additional night, OK so once I left from there, I spoke with the Man 😄💙. They were very, very rude. They definitely do not care about their customers. They live upstairs and they literally look like you’re in a bit. I have some very serious illnesses and they could care less about it once I left out it was time for me to pray because I just got off the phone with my doctor and the experience that I received from them was something that I needed a prayer about. I got on my hands and knees as I do when I pray, and I pray I went back to my room when going back to my room, the managers in the hallway me and asked me are you OK? I never thought nothing of because I’m praying because I will pray in front of anyone for anyone, etc. he told me once I went to go ask them because they put the credit on my account. They said that I had to pay $41. They refused compensate me for the bed having a terrible spot the refrigerator. I have the refrigerator being filthy here is stuff everywhere . The back to the room was down off the bed and they never once apologize. They told me I should’ve left. He humiliated me that is 100% discrimination. He told me that he would not allow me to you know book with him again because I chose to get down on the ground and pray to God that is considered discrimination. I am going to be reaching out to Attorney to find out what I can do in regards to it. I was very, very beyond upset like when I say beyond upset, it hurt me so bad that someone has the audacity to tell you what you can and I can’t do in regards to how you praise God . I UNFORTUNATELY HAVE VIDEOS OF THE INTERACTION. ITS BEYOND SICKENING AT THIS DAY IN TIME PRAYER IS BEING USED. A 100% DISCRIMINATION. THE MAN WANTED ME AND THE KIDS OFF HIS PROPERTY WHEN WE NEEDED TO BOOK A UBER. I TOLD HIM TO PLEASE CALL THE POLICE BECAUSE ITS JUST LIKE A EX. OF RACISM, HE REFUSED. ILL CONTINUE TO GO ABOVE AND BEYOND FOR DISCRIMINATING NOT ONLY...
Read moreThis was the nastiest hotel room that I've ever been in and I'm a no fuss, cheap, low budget type of person. There wasn't a single piece of linen in the room that didn't look like it had been used by the last 4 or more guests. They were not just stained but actually dirty (hairs on the pillowsaces etc.). The bathroom hadn't been cleaned at all. The walls looked like someone intentionally rubbed grease on them and it was just left that way. If I hadn't driven all over the state and spent the whole day dealing with my 14 y/o nephew having been hit by a train then being transported/flown to 3 different hospitals, I would have thrown an absolute fit. It was 2 am and I had to sleep or I'd have just fallen out completely in the hospital. I laid down, closed my eyes and just prayed that I'd be able to figure out some different arrangements. I left the lights on to deter the bugs that I'm sure were waiting in the folds of the nasty beds. I was up and checking out at just after 6am. I tried to grab breakfast before I left but there wasn't anything except gross bread, a pancake maker and maybe 6 prepackaged, tiny, chocolate mini muffins. To top it all off, even tho I reserved my room with a card over the phone, I was still charged an additional $50 deposit (which wasn't explained to me over the phone when I had to agree to a no cancellation/ no refund reservation). I'm over 2 hours from home with very little money and I can't go home until I know my nephew is going to pull through and I need that money. It should have never been fully charged and left pending anyway, but nope. It has been fully taken from my account. I worked at a hotel for 3 years and I know that this isn't the way it's supposed to be done. Days Inn really need to pay better attention to the hotels that they allow to use their franchise name. The photos online are very old and not even a little accurate. Super sad that this is how Days Inn allows their...
