Custom Pizza made fresh with mountainous combinations served to you by a super friendly staff. New location opened near The Pyramids on N Michigan Road & I-465 so we tried it out using our recent mailbox coupon. Azzip Pizza @ N Michigan Road far exceeded our expectations! Great location; lots of well-lit parking; very clean restaurants with lots of seating. So many combination options of crusts, sauces, meats, veggies, more sauces on top if you want, more season-like toppings both before and after baking…you could eat here every day for weeks without duplicating your order. Sticks/dip and cookies and more, too. However, the most Impressive part was the staff - highly efficient, happy to explain and guide you through the customization process, answered every question we had, and served with a smile. The entire group was great with special recognition to Phena (manager on duty tonight) and frontline “pizza creator” Chris. Phena runs a great team (everyone kept themselves very busy either serving lots of incoming customers, running online orders out to pick-up curb, or cleaning dining area (which was spotless!). She answered tons of our questions about the restaurant and was very appreciative that we tried it out. Chris is a young man up front who customized our pizza with such enthusiasm and creativity that we knew he enjoyed working there which gave us the confidence in Azzip Pizza quality and integrity. Chris was knowledgeable and great about suggesting options of the many choices when we were hesitant on which choices to make. And he was spot on - best pizza we’ve had in a long time! Don’t be fooled by the name “Lil’ Zip” personal pizza because it’s more than a healthy serving. Scrumptious! And did you know the founder Brad started this store concept in Evansville, Indiana with prize money he won as the Burton D Morgan Business Plan Competition champion at Purdue?!? I have Celiac Disease and have to be gluten free. I called before ordering pizza to get the inside scoop on how they do/prepare GF pizzas and what pizzas are most liked and ordered. I talked to the manager and she was absolutely amazing! So kind and helpful! She told me about the three top fav pizzas (Founder, Westsider, & Classic) and how to avoid their meatballs because those are not GF. I followed her advice and ordered the Founder with all her recommends (to get the original (Allergy) GF crust, to add green peppers and onions, and then get red pepper flakes and ranch dressing on the side). It was SO good! The crust was delicious and the Founder pizza as a whole with the added recs was amazing! I ordered their allergy friendly cookies and they are free of all the major allergens and are super good as well! Definitely will be returning for pizza in the future!
