The only good thing about this hotel was that they had rooms available to book when every other hotel was sold out for a convention going on in Indy. They took a picture of my American Express Credit Card in which I did not appreciate, but the owner claimed he had to verify if that card was acceptable with his accountant. Really????? So he proceeds to say he deleted it off his phone, however I was uneasy. We were quoted different prices if we paid with cash or cash app (seriously?!) vs. paying with a credit card. Red flag #2. Then, the owner gave us a balcony room in the event that we smoked (we don't), and when we walked in the room it smelled of thick smoke!! The balcony door was opened as if they were airing out the room and that smell remained throughout the entire weekend. The absolute and final straw for me was when I was checking for bed bugs... I didn't find any bugs but I did find stained, yellow and BLOODY spots on my comforter tucked into the bed!! Like did they clean the room or change the sheets before we checked in?! DISGUSTING! When I brought it to the man's attention at the front desk, he wasn't apologetic at all nor offered any type of reimbursement for their disgusting rooms. He went to the back and opened up a brand new package and provided me with a new comforter. It was brand spanking new and white. The one on the bed was noticeably yellow and just done for! I am so disappointed, as this was our experience in Indy coming from North Carolina. I will not return. You have been warned!
EDIT: Thanks for your response. Nothing was addressed by your staff to my satisfaction for my multiple night stay at the beginning of my check in. I didn't notice the bloody stains until at night so there's no way it was the beginning of my check-in. The guy working the desk at 11pm was not the owner so again nothing was addressed to my satisfaction. He didn't care. Again, won't be returning but thanks for...
Read moreThis Comfort Inn hotel (Comfort Inn & Suites North at the Pyramids in Indianapolis at 9090 Wesleyan Rd) was absolutely disgusting. I am high end, I am not picky – but I would NEVER tell anyone to EVER stay here. The hotel was filthy. There was a noticeable and nasty smell in the hotel lobby and throughout the whole building. The elevator smelled like urine. The 3rd floor, which my room 314 was on, smell like POT, literally like someone was smoking a massive joint the hall. The elevator was so filthy that I barely wanted to touch the buttons. There were gross things all over the walls, and dog food all over the floor. The carpet was so stained it was disgusting. The room that we stayed in (314) was awful. The carpet was filthy, the room smelled, the bathroom was dirty, the towels smelled and the bedding was gross. In the AM, after we had already left, my daughter had a bed bug latched to her finger! My 11 year old daughter (who was staying at this hotel for a sports tournament) was physically bothered by the hotel. She had to put her shirt over her nose to navigate the hallways and elevator! The breakfast food was awful! The eating space was dirty, the fruit was rotten, and the breakfast options were mostly empty. The cliental at the hotel was terrifying. There was a man with a PIT BULL walking up and down the hallway. Room doors were slamming at all hours of the night. There was a car full of scantily dressed women dropped at the hotel and walked up the back stairwell. The hotel staff barely spoke English. The lock on my room door barely worked. There were people walking in and out of rooms. This hotel was an unacceptable place. For $215.89 per night! This is NO place that a out of town family with young children should be placed for a youth sports tournament. It was unsafe, unsanitary, and unacceptable! I would like to speak to the HIGHEST level about this stay, and I expect a...
Read moreFirst off I wish I had an option for 0 stars. Starting with check in, the service received was worse than poor. My family reserved a double and king on the same floor months in advance, however when we got there we were told that our reservations does not guarantee a room, which is completely redundant considering that online it clearly tells you that is how to hold a room. What is the point of giving credit card information if you cannot guarantee to reserve those spots. Second issue is they placed us on different floors originally and didn’t give us a double bed. We have a to go back downstairs where staff were unprofessional and couldn’t be clear to themselves even which rooms were open. We were finally placed on the third floor but were constantly disturbed from other guests because the staff kept sending new guests to our room. The guest were even able to open our room which meant that staff gave them our room key. At 2am we were disturbed again because staff said we weren’t in their system. How??? The next day did not get better because my key card stopped working and we paid for two nights. Staff wasn’t even apologetic about the mistake they had made once again. The last straw was that my card was charged yet again, without my knowledge because of mistake staff admitted to. I was charged 184 and they charged another $11 on my card because they said they forgot something. Imagine that? Comfort Inn, rather Despicable Inn. That brings me to the condition of the room. Walking in their was a big smeared on the wall, the cabinet was hanging off the sink, and the light by the desk was hanging by a thread. Highly disappointed and to have a $100 deposit for any damages should better be back on my cards because I’m not paying for any condition of that hotel. This hotel should be marked...
