Motel 6 Indianapolis, IN - Carmel — Hotel in Indianapolis

I wouldn't give any any stars if I didn't have too this place was extremely rude stayed after a really bad accident had to have my dogs with and was stranded.. Called ahead paid for room in advance via a friend that was scheduled for surgery next day. Employee at the check in was extremely rude not helpful..wasnt going to let me stay even though I paid over the phone prior with reservation number and said will be traveling with dogs she said she didn't see it so it never got maxe. Aftr a few more words to find my room she did. I train and release for temp use for a variety od services explaines one or two times for sometimes it may be 3 dogs in that room but isn't permanent and not over night she said no worries at all was rude still when i asked wher laundry facility was. I asked for extra bathmates and denied. The day after my Accident... I had one of my service dog retured there I had no way to pick it up and the next clianted was due in 90 min to pick it up. The night before i askes again foe extra towels and bath mates and was told no way hospitality doesnt work at night? ..i had no toilet since the day I got the room i was given. Plunger..? Never worked so I let them kmow again as I booked 2 more nights out of there wasn't amything else to choose from. So they immediately come to the room pound onthe door ans a at i need to stand in the hallway now so they can fix the toilet ? Well I was in the middle of work. I said please wait 1 hr half amd the. My dogs and i will be gone..they said no? Now or never. Take your dogs and stay in hallway while they will fix it. I said no thank u I just got out of the shower. I said they could cOme in and as they did they screamed some Indian language and a screamed u get out now. I askes why I just paid for 2 more nights .. They said they would give me 15min I asked if they were aware of the dangerous COld temperature they said yes don't care get out 10 min ..so I moved all the thingd i had from my car things for the dogs amd myself had no time to call. Cab or anyone was still waiting for cliant to show up while the staff one called me names by the toilet repair man who smelled of weed and then Mr Patel said u have 3 not accepted however i had permission as an exception for the circumstances .. Didn't care I stood outside on the street in 2 below sleet and einfd and hail for 90 min waiting for help.. Most desgusting room the service was lame rude and unkind . The communications was zero .. Not much english spoken. Never gave my money BA k two days paid that day but never...

WARNING! Do not stay here. We Got with our AAA agent to reserve three nights here for a wedding at this motel and we will get a room for those three nights for $175 with our AAA discount card and a Walmart Visa card as a second ID and a confirmation paper. When we got to this motel after midnight to check in there was no one at the desk. A sign said the lobby was closed from 10:00 pm to 6:00 am, very strange and we did not like how that was. They have a kiosk machine that you have to talk to someone on the screen and they're probably not in that building at all which is absolutely ridiculous. Don't know if they have enough staff or for security reasons. What about the people safety who are all staying here when they don't have security patrolling around the building. But to us this is not good. Don't trust this at all. The person said that our room was canceled due to our card was denied. We ended up getting another room which we got charged $95 a night with our AAA card. That's $285 plus $40 deposit that we did get back when we checked out. You had to put the money in the machine and they popped out your key cards and when you check out you drop the cards in the slot. This is supposed to be a NON-SMOKING motel. 3 floors. IT IS NOT. People were smoking in the room next to us where the smoke was coming through the security door in our room and also in the hall and near this one door where people put a rock to keep the door open a little bit while they were smoking right outside the door and the smoke would linger back in and the whole hallway would smell like smoke really bad. The only plus is the room was decent and the bathroom was clean. Looks like it was remodeled. This place gets a zero star because we got ripped off due to not getting that discount rate we were quoted on. There were certain people that was staying there we would not trust especially no respect to the ones who were smoking. We would not recommend this place to anyone due to the area is runned down and to us it is not safe around this area. You will get ripped off and not get the rate you want that is posted on this screen. If the owner puts a reply back. Don't bother, we will ignore it and not accept their apology and give them another chance. ARE YOU KIDDING! NO WAY! They will not do anything about it. All they are is scammers and we will never ever stay at any other Motel6 again so go somewhere else or you'll get the same thing like...

I don't even know where to begin when expressing myself regarding how awesome this location is. The costs do fluctuate as any rental spot does but considering the bang-for-buck, you can't get lower than this Motel 6 without the risk of bedbugs, roaches, mold, and questionable smells. Those surely won't be experienced here especially recently as in the last year just about all the guest rooms have been renovated with the latest in contemporary furnishings ~ bathroom, beds, bigger television, and a bit more.

If I had to criticize anything it's the doors themselves. There's a substantial amount of hallway light and noise creeping in BUT what matters most is they lock as intended. A room given to me last year (1st floor) looked like someone used a crowbar on it but likely didn't succeed in busting through.

Geographically, it can't get much better than this. So many essential stores, restaurants, gyms, theaters, game shop and more are within walking distance. I choose this place over anywhere else downtown because of the fact and as a bonus, the parking is free, which ought to be standard for ANY hotel/motel. Imagine being charged to sit down at a table in your favorite restaurant.

The fellow (sorry, didn't get a name) behind the desk is terrific and sentimental. If, for whatever reason, he or anyone else is not there, I understand that's what the kiosk nearby is for. A fellow had been using it for a moment when I had to come down and ask for a tip on leaking water from the fridge. That was probably my fault as electronics do not take my presence too kindly and tend to spaz out. The representative (via video call) even offered to change my room which was a welcome one but not necessary.

In summary, this place served me well and would be my recommendation to anyone looking for a good place not riddled with roaches. Its location to the Convention Center is a stretch but nothing to be concerned about. That's actually a good thing as going to/from the downtown area you'll be in close proximity to countless gas stations, food, auto parts shops, and a few stores such as Kroger, ALDI, Trader Joe, and at least 2...
