This is worst meal and location we have been to. When we finally got a waitress to take our order, we told her that we both wanted the prime rib. We chose different sides. We both had a salad as one of our sides and I specified no tomatoes or eggs and an extra dressing. Did not come out as I ordered. When our meals were delivered, my loaded baked potato was cold. To the point that the skimpy butter did not melt. My husband had loaded mashed potatoes and he said it was barely warm. The prime rib was extremely fatty! I know there is fat on prime rib, but we both ordered a 16 ounce thinking that would allow for some fat. It was literally almost half fat. We wanted to tell our waitress that we had a problem with our sides and then the steak, but she was no where to be found. Finally, my husband got her attention and he asked her to come to the table. She said I’ll bring you rolls and since my coke was empty, he said coke refill. He thought once she came back, we could tell her our problems then. By the time she came back, we were just over it. She never asked how the meal was, never checked back on us on her own and made it clear that she was very busy. It was early afternoon and the restaurant was not busy. We were both upset and when she came back by, instead of asking how everything was, she said, I can take your plates away and do you want a desert. H said no just the check. She was able to bring the check back quick enough and then said that we could use the table top card skimmer. She stood directly over my husbands shoulder and watched him. He said I got this. She said oh that’s ok, I’m not rushing you. She proceeded to say here is the total and here is where you can add the tip. We were both mad now and he said, yes I know how to use this. So he stopped a minute and she said, you can give me cash if you’d rather. He said I’ll put it on the card. She insisted that she would stand there and watch and asked for cash for her tip. I looked for a manager and asked another girl on the way out and she said she would have to go look. As we left, the waitress was sitting at a table that evidently had her friends there and as we left, she made sure to say that we were the people that gave her such a cheap tip. Honestly, we feel like she shouldn’t have gotten one at all. The food was bad, more fat than meat, potatoes cold, never checked back on us then said it was because she was busy, then when it was time to pay, she had all the time in the world. We left there mad, very disappointed about the meal, and have never had a waitress be so blatantly rude and then expect a big tip when we couldn’t even find her when we needed her. We don’t plan to ever go there again. Servers should not beg for cash tips....
Read moreI am in agreeance with Kim Hollands post. I had once gave them 5 stars as it was my favorite restaurant for years but the last few times I've ordered takeout I've had items missing and seems like the portions are getting smaller but pricing is the same. And I always spend $50 or more every order. The first couple of times I brushed it off because of changes due to this Rona bs but this last time done it for me. I ordered a family pack along with a $6 dollar gallon of sweet tea with strawberry. I didn't recieve my tea and when I went back to get it I was made to stand outside in the cold to wait for it and when I got home to taste it, it was just warm unsweetened with no strawberry added. The sides portions are smaller and the staff at the takeout window are not as curteous as the old staff that I am used to. I would've loved to dine in but I refuse to wear a face diaper. Needless to say my husband and I have agreed to just cook our own meals from here on out and stay away from restaurants all together. 8/13/2025: I am writing another review because I decided to give my once favorite restaurant another try. My husband and I decided to order, and pay online for a carryout order totaling over $50. When I tried to pay by debit card, it didn't give me that option even tho the app gives you that option. So I called, and explained to the carryout order attendant that my husband's bank account had been compromised, so he's in the process of getting a new bank card, but he has a virtual card that we can use, and she explained that we could place our order with her, but we couldn't prepay, and had to pay in the restaurant when we picked our food up. She never explained why we couldn't prepay, but assured us that we could use the virtual card in store. Needless to say that wasn't the case, and it was the most embarrassing moment of my life. The carryout area had a few more people in the small cramped space, and we had to leave without our food because neither of our phones were capable of tap to pay to use the virtual bank card. Neither my husband or myself aren't tech savvy, and we don't care about having the latest cell phones. But there should have been a way for the employees to manually put in the card number or something. So we ended up ordering from another restaurant that made it convenient for us to order, and pay online for our pick up order. This restaurant also rewards it's loyal customers. I'm done with Texas...
Read moreI guess it’s a testament to Texas Roadhouse that they are typically very busy, and I get that their staff turnover may be high. I get that “mishaps” happen, but when you have a dining experience that includes the following, frustrated doesn’t even begin to describe it… • Seated immediately – A+ • Placed drink and order of Rattlesnake Bites 5:31pm • Server advises there are no more Rattlesnake Bites 5:40pm – Alternate appetizer selected and ordered. My boyfriend asks if prime rib is still available and told yes. • App arrives. No drinks yet. 5:50pm • Server comes by to check on us, we request our drinks and order our meals. (At this point, I lose track of time) • Drinks come. • Server comes by to tell me that the kebabs are “sold out.” I jokingly ask, “Kebabs are just a cut up steak, right? You’re ‘sold out’?” Apparently, yes. I re-review the menu and order the steak salad. • Server comes back to tell my boyfriend there is no prime rib. He orders something else. • Drinks go empty. Requested refills twice. • Food comes for my boyfriend and our friend. Server tells me he did put in my order for my salad, but it was marked “on hold???” At this point, my meal will likely come after my dinner mates are done. I’m so annoyed, I request the order be cancelled. I ended up having a roll and a handful of fries for my meal. It was a cluster from start to finish. I had to step outside I was so upset about my meal being “forgotten” after SO MANY other issues. We had all decided to have a nice meal out to celebrate their getting released from the hospital. I changed my travel plans to stay in Indy to dine with them. On my way back into the restaurant, I did ask to discuss it with the manager. Everyone was super apologetic, but sorry only goes so far. I had to REQUEST they comp the appetizer. That should have been the least they offered. No customer in near tears should have to ask for things to be made right. I said to my boyfriend, “I’m sorry you’re dating a ‘Karen’.” He said, “no, a Karen is someone who complains when their UNREASONABLE expectations aren’t met. Your expectations were basic.” I didn’t give a 1 star, because I have had decent experiences there in the past, and our server, while possibly inexperienced or not cut out for food retail, was nice. But I’m not planning on going back any time soon. I did attach a...
