Bru Burger - Where Flavor Meets Quirkiness
Nestled in the heart of Hometown Indianapolis, Bru Burger has swiftly emerged as a beacon for food enthusiasts seeking a remarkable dining experience. This charming eatery manages to carve out a distinct niche in the competitive culinary landscape, offering a delectable fusion of flavors that leave patrons raving.
From the moment you step through the doors, the inviting ambiance sets the stage for an exceptional meal. The modern yet cozy décor creates an atmosphere that's perfect for both casual gatherings and special occasions. The staff, with their attentive service and extensive knowledge of the menu, adds a touch of warmth to the overall dining experience.
Now, let's talk about the star of the show – the burgers. Bru Burger takes the art of burger crafting to a whole new level. Their diverse menu caters to every palate, featuring a range of options from classic beef patties to inventive vegetarian alternatives. The quality of ingredients is evident in each bite, with the meat cooked to perfection and the accompanying toppings enhancing the overall taste.
One standout item is the signature Bru Burger, a delightful combination of juicy beef, melted cheese, and a secret sauce that elevates it to a gastronomic masterpiece. For those looking to explore beyond the traditional, the menu boasts innovative choices like the Black and Blue Burger, which introduces a tantalizing blend of flavors through blue cheese crumbles and caramelized onions.
However, Bru Burger doesn't stop at just burgers. The menu also showcases an array of appetizers, salads, and sides that complement the main course impeccably. The sweet potato fries, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, are a particular favorite among patrons.
While Bru Burger undoubtedly shines in many aspects, it's important to note that during our visit, one of the female bartenders appeared somewhat inattentive. It's worth considering that she might have been occupied with other tasks, as the restaurant was bustling with activity. Despite this, the overall service from the remaining staff maintained a high standard, ensuring a positive dining experience. It's a testament to the establishment's commitment to customer satisfaction that even with a minor hiccup, the overall impression remains overwhelmingly positive.
In an unusual twist, my change, along with the receipt, was presented in what appeared to be a laundry detergent cap. While this caught me off guard, the friendly service throughout the meal encouraged me to overlook this quirky presentation. Despite the unconventional choice in delivering change, the overall experience was marked by amiable staff, compelling flavors, and a comfortable atmosphere. In the spirit of generosity, I left a decent tip, recognizing that exceptional service and culinary excellence deserve acknowledgment, even if the money arrives in an unexpected vessel.
Bru Burger stands out as a culinary gem in our city's dining scene. With its inviting ambiance, exceptional service, and a menu that caters to diverse tastes, this restaurant has undoubtedly earned its place as a must-visit for food enthusiasts. Whether you're a burger aficionado or simply seeking a memorable dining experience, Bru Burger delivers on all fronts, leaving patrons eager to return for another round of culinary delights.
Cap off your Bru Burger experience with a sweet note by indulging in their delightful brownie à la mode. The brownie itself is a testament to decadence, boasting a soft texture that harmonizes perfectly with the accompanying scoop of ice cream.
However, a word of caution: the ice cream, while adding a creamy and luscious element to the dessert, seems to possess a somewhat elusive nature. It has a tendency to melt at a pace that could catch you by surprise. While I couldn't help but marvel at its texture during my playful exploration, a lingering thought crossed my mind. Could the ice cream manufacturers be employing some special ingredient to...
Read moreI would not recommend anyone to do a carry-out nor dine in at this location. The employees and even the all the white managers are very rude, dimwitted, uneducated, dumb, and slow. The staff members are very races inside that restaurant and their attitude towards African-Americans shows very well. This is not the first, second, nor third time that I felt this way about this Bru Burger Restaurant. I came up here today to pick up my order that I made over the phone and I noticed that the hostess and waiters had me waiting for a very long time. No one who worked inside the restaurant acknowledged me waiting in line at the host stand, but instead skipped me and greeted others who were coming in the door. After 7 minutes, I started to look at the bags on the counter to see if they already made my order since I did came 6 minutes before the actual 20 minutes that I was told my carry out would be ready. I was rudely told by this one Caucasian waitress with long black and purple hair brushed back in a ponytail that I would have to wait for a host to get my food, and I told her dumb retarded self that you guys have been seeing me waiting here for a while, and have not greeted me. Suddenly a hostess came up and I paid for my order and one of bags that was placed on the counter for as long as I been waiting was handed to me. However, they had to still make my strawberry shake this whole time I been waiting, so unfortunately I had to wait on that. Meanwhile, I glanced in the kitchen and also observed that no worker back there was wearing any gloves so that raises a red flag. Another Caucasian lady with long black hair brushed back in a ponytail came up and finally handed me my strawberry shake, and she gave me a snobbish look. I told her about her waitress and that same one came up to me to put her input, and I immediately cutt her off and said that she needed to shut her mouth and not say anything. The lady who handed me my shake seemed to look at me like I was in the wrong and I literally was about to go off on both of them. I see why the employees are not attentive , because the woman manager appears to be a knucklehead as well. Lastly, when I went back to my apartment, which was only 3 minutes away, I noticed that my fries were cold. Again this place is very horrible and corrupt and will have your carry-out order sitting on the counter...
Read moreWe were staying outside of the 465 loop when we started looking for a burger place . Bru Burger Bar came up as the closest recommendation. I know some people might not drive the 15-20 minute drive but I am telling you DO IT!!! Very easy to find and a great building for a restaurant. Plenty of outdoor seating too. Now for the food. We started with the Triple Dip appetizer. It had Goat Cheese with a Peppadew Pepper Jam, warm Edamame Hummus with Pine Nuts and Guacamole. These three were served with warn Naan Bread. As I tried each one, I couldn't believe the flavor punch that each one delivered. The jelly on the goat cheese made it amazing. The guacamole still had nice size chunks of avocado along with a flavor that made your mouth sing. And finally the hummus. Hummus is not something I eat regularly and I don't ever remember eating it warm, but ....WOW!!! The creamiest almost buttery flavored hummus I have ever tasted. Even now, a couple hours after eating this incredible appetizer, I am still trying to think which one stood out as my favorite but I can't. We have a three way tie for the gold medal. You can't go wrong with this selection. For the meal we ordered the Garlic Three Cheese Burger with fries and the Stilton Blue Cheese Burger. Both burgers were great with exceptional flavor. At the recommendation from our server, I added mushrooms to the garlic burger. GREAT suggestion! The fries were definitely the kind of fries that all potatoes wish they would become. Crispy on the outside with a great seasoned crunch. The dipping sauce for the fries was just the right touch if you like to use ketchup with your fries. The fries have such a great flavor that you really dont need anything but that sauce had such a great flavor, I kept finding myself going back to it. You won't be disappointed with your meal if you journey into the city and find Bru Burger Bar. Our meal was made even better by one of the best servers we have encountered in a very long time. Jodi was very knowledgeable about everything on the menu and we did have several questions for her. When we couldn't decide and asked for recommendations, she gave a more detailed summary of the drink or burger we couldn't decide about. Her descriptions were what helped us make our final choices. Thank you Bru Burger Bar and Jodi for turning our night into a...
