Weddings at The Reach KW — Hotel in Key West

Beside a beautiful beach and a good breakfast this hotel is not worth the price we paid. The first morning the coffeemaker was not working, we asked at 10:00 am that it will be changed. When we came back at 5:00 pm the coffee maker had not been changed and the room not been cleaned. We call the front desk and ask again for another coffee maker and the cleaning of the room. We came back at 10:00 pm and still the coffee maker had not been changed. We call the front desk again and were answered that they will come bring another one. We waited one hour and nothing arrived. The next day I was able to fix the coffee maker that was defective. The evening of the next day the room had not been cleaned so we complained at the front desk. We were told by a young lady that it was now the policy of the hotel not to clean the rooms every day "for your protection and the protection of our employees" and that the hotel was almost full which was a lie since the parking lot at night was three quarter empty and there were very few people in the hotel. Finally they did clean the room. We had a suite at $470.00/night and for that kind of price and in view of the number of stars of the hotel such lack of good service is unacceptable. Expect to be completely underwhelmed, disappointed and taken advantage of. The resort is the astronomically overpriced for the amenities, and quite frankly ruined my entire view of Key West. Expect to wait long times for valet retrieval, and for anyone in the resort to answer the phone. My husband and I planned a trip alone, and the resort was so bad that we checked out after only one night, which ended up costing us over $650 for the one night. No hot water , insist to send engineer to fix on the night , we are so tired and want to rest ! Now we are waiting the engineer to come before we can do anything ! When we arrive the elevator is broken , and no one can help out luggage .
