Tipsy Rooster Liquor Store & Bar — Restaurant in Key West

Honestly this place is pretty whatever, but I'm writing this review because of an issue that I had with them.

I left a backpack here and had to leave town before I could go back to grab it. I called the next day and they located the backpack but wanted me to call back when the manager was around to figure out my options. I did, and asked if I could pay to have it shipped, to which they refused. I had a few friends that were going to be in Key West a month from then, so I asked them to please hold onto the bag until they came to pick it up. They agreed and said no problem. A month goes by and my friends stop by the bar to pick up the bag, only to be met by an extremely rude lady who did not offer to help in any way and asked them to call the manager in the morning. I called the manager in the morning, who stated that he would call me back in an hour, once he located the bag. He didn't call back. A few hours later, I called back and low and behold, they do not have the backpack. Extremely disappointing, as this was an important bag and contents, and this could have very easily been handled in a helpful manner.

I'd say skip this place in general, but this lack of care for their customers makes this an avoid-at-all-costs type of place.

EDIT. The owner responded saying that they offer some sort of shipping method to return lost items. This simply isn’t true. They flat out said they would not ship my items to me no matter how much I offered to pay. Then either gave my items away or threw them away. Very shady...

If you’re in Key West this little gem is a must stop experience! Their in-house infused liquors are something to be desired & craved. Alex was the vibe, super friendly & very accommodating & her drinks were perfectly blended. I will say that after 2 experiences with Jen, we passed this place up on a couple of more occasions due to Jen’s mood killer attitude. She was just unpleasant all around. She was never personable, somewhat rude to other customers skipping over some saying “I’m waiting on this one because they know what they want” which I find very unprofessional vs trying to help them decide by engaging with them and asking what they’re in the mood for & making suggestions & being gracious for the business, but rather acted like customers were more of a nuisance. I left 5 stars b/c it’s not the fault of the business that a single person ruin a great thing as we compromised by going to different businesses when Jen was the bartender. Regardless, if you’re in town, give them a shot, it’s worth it! As for pricing, the drinks were very reasonable and they have live entertainment in the afternoons making it a great relaxed...

Well I will give the 5 star because I have been going to this spot for years. The bartenders have always been wonderful except for tonight. On 6/9 there was a new bartender. I asked for a Tito’s and cranberry. She immediately asked me if I wanted a double and I agreed. I gave her cash and she did not appear to put all the money in the register. When I received my drink there was barely a shot in it. When I politely brought this to her attention she screamed at me and berated me in front of the other customers and told me to get out. I had also observed her asking others if they wanted doubles (I guess that’s her scam) . I was simply shocked as I have never experienced anything like this at the Tipsy. It’s a shame because in the past I have always received excellent drinks and service! I hope this lady is stopped before she scams anyone else and verbally...
