My family and I just stayed in one of the triple rooms last week. We got there a couple hours early and the woman working the front desk allowed us to check in to our room early which was very nice of her and convenient for us. Our room was very spacious and had all the basics needed to have a comfortable stay. 3 beds, a bathroom with a toilet and shower, a tv that had working cable, a microwave and a mini fridge. The few downsides of our room was that it did not smell very pleasant and the sheets didn’t look very presentable. New sheets, flooring, and paint could make everything look more modern and updated and much better. It also would’ve been nice to have an eating table in the room but we made it work with what we had. Air conditioner worked well and blew out very cold air. Pool was operable but we did not utilize it as we were busy at the water parks and other activities. A lot of other comments addressing bedbugs and roaches in the rooms but we didn’t spot one bug during our stay so I’m assuming those issues were taken care of. Our stay was very quiet considering there wasn’t many other guests. The price of the room was affordable for our family and the location is very close to all the main attractions. There is an ice machine in the office which was convenient to us to refill our coolers. No coffee pot in room which I knew beforehand as it wasn’t listed on their advertisement so I just brought instant coffee to mix with water in a cup. They do also have complimentary coffee in the main office though. We brought our own toaster as well. Very friendly and nice staff. We wouldn’t mind staying here again...
Read moreThe Hotel's phone number is disconnected and you can NOT reach anyone that should give you a BIG CLUE! The hotel is run by a family that lives there and they are rude, not customer oriented & If you need assistance it's practically impossible to get or they pretend not to understand English .The WIFI sucks unless u don't mind walking outside to the main entrance and standing outside the office to get WIFI service. The hotel seems to be full of regular unsavory characters. I saw some questionable behavior going on in the parking lot & on the side of the hotel. I was worried about my safety and my vehicle. It is not a place I would want to stay at again let alone bring any kids too. My friend left her phone in the room and within a 1/2 HR she had to turn around and drive back (all the numbers listed for the hotel are disconnected!) & they acted like they didn't know what she was talking & about& eventually said they didn't find a phone in the room BUT she had an app on it that said it was at that location! The hotel is poorly run & they staff is extremely rude & questionable....I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. You can find a better hotel in the same price range that has better customer service, better WIFI & a better...
Read moreMalibu Inn is on my list for being one of the worst motels I have stayed in. From the moment my friends and I drove onto the lot, we could hear yelling and arguing. Two parties were fighting about an incident that had previously occurred. They fought for most of the night, as I could hear yelling through the walls of our room.
The hot tub, which had water in it, was filled with rocks. We were not offered any kind of refund for the unusable hot tub.
I went into the lobby to get a snack from the vending machine, and the machine never gave me my snack. The person at the desk got her husband to help me, who knew no English, and basically the said they couldn't help me and told me to get some more money.
Older men stood outside the doors of their rooms and would stare at us and hit on us. This freaked us out immensely. We did not even feel safe in our room, as there was a standard lock, but no dead bodlt on the door. We had to baracade the door with the small chair and the large chair in our room.
The hotel room was not cheap for the value of stay we had. It was actually fairly expensive for the one night...
