Hotel Seacrest — Hotel in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea

Need to edit my review. NEW EDIT: Billing was resolved. New owner. Overcharged me by a night. Sofabed was unsleepable, but I guess they solved that problem by only providing one top sheet. No sheet was provided until the next day, because: No employees of any kind on site. Smelled of overwhelming chemicals, but at least that meant it was clean, even though there was a sticky floor from too much cleaning chemical. UNTIL I opened the freezer compartment on the fridge. A sticky, icky mess, which was reported but never addressed. Not enough towels for the 3 people it was booked for. Obviously under new management, the old owner Lars was amazing but moved to Europe. On the other hand, it's close enough to the beach and quiet. Because we were the only guests for a night. Make your own conclusions why.

Safe, clean, and a 3 minute walk to the ocean (the water, not just the sand!). Owner is present and makes sure you are taken care of. Room was spacious, with a microwave, 2 burner cook top, toaster, and coffee maker. The pool was maintained well. When I checked in, the owner said they would not be entering the room during the stay due to Covid (although if requested, they would). I cannot say enough good things about this place, and will recommend it to friends and stay...

This was our 2nd stay at the Hotel Seacrest. During this visit, we stayed in the Seashell Room - a ground floor room that was immediate adjacent to the pool. It was surrounded in lush foliage and was easy to access. There was a king bed, twin bed and mini kitchenette complete with flatware, dishes, microwave, and mini fridge. There was dining table and 4 chairs for meals, or for use as a business area. Free Wifi was simple to connect. The bathroom was updated and spacious with a walk in shower and bath/beach towels. The pool area had a grill, pool tubes for play, several lounge chairs, as well as umbrellas for shade, sunscreens available in a basket and was private and secluded. We really enjoyed the location - walking distance to the restaurants, bars, shopping without being in the center of the activity. We had a minor issue trying to access TV channels, so we called for front desk assistance. A gentleman arrived within a few minutes and kindly assisted us. Then, he presented us with a gift certificate to a nearby restaurant for our inconvenience. Parking was ample, free and convenient..directly in front of the hotel. Excellent staying! The one bedroom apartment was very clean, well decorated and furnished, you will find everything you need from coffee maker, induction cooking top, microwave, fridge, cabinets with all cooking accessories and plates, plenty towels, blow dryer and two tv with cable; also internet is available and fast. Beautiful pool area, very well kept with bbq, tables, chairs, sunbeds, sun lotions and a shower; if you want to enjoy the beach instead, which is just 1 BLOCK AWAY, there are beach chairs and umbrellas available for use. Isn’t incredible? The neighborhood is quite and friendly, we felt very safe during our staying; supermarket is just 1 block away also and Ocean Drive which is around the corner offers a large variety of restaurants, bar and shops.
