So look, I hate to play the race card but somebody make it make sense. My guy friend and I were having a casual stroll down the strip and he’d already been a customer, here, so he thought it would be fun to check this place out. We approached the door and realized it was closed before we even got close. So we are looking in the window at the display of eclectic hats enjoying our small talk and this lady completely cuts us off, doesn’t go around us or wait. She cuts us off, walk in front of us with no eye contact, she doesn’t greet us or say hello, checks to see if the door was locked very animated. Then says, “just checking to see if my doors are locked!” Walks off and doesn’t even look back.
I’ve been in business for a long time and I understand a long day but that’s not what I felt. She was rude and dismissive and outright offensive. Like, why did she need to do all that ? We weren’t standing there for very long at all…we had just got there. And if we wanted to stand there for 60 min, so what?. I’m a potential new customer and my friend has already patronized this business but after this encounter, I don’t recommend anyone of color approaching this establishment. You won’t feel welcomed, you won’t be greeted and they are going to make sure their security is active and they want you to know it . Smh 🤦🏾♀️

Read moreWe walked through here late Saturday around 6:30 PM. The toddler went in and wanted something but we already had plan to walk to another toy store a block away. The other store shelves seemed bare but they did have plenty of puzzles and we bought one that was age appropriate for the toddler. We told him he can get a fire truck because there wasn’t one at the toy store we were at so we came back to this store. He saw the fire truck previously when we were in briefly. They were closed but we could see the people inside. Toddler stood at the door crying for the fire truck even though I insisted that we will come back tomorrow and buy it. There is no storage of toys. Anyway the ladies who were working inside saw him crying and reopened the door so we can buy the fire truck. Just wanted to thank you them and how much we appreciated that they reopened the door so we can buy him his fire truck. They made one toddler very...
Read moreThis is by far the worst store in all of Leavenworth. My little sister went in and purchased dice labeled .25. However was charged $15. When attempting to correct it she was refused a refund. When I went to go deal with the situation the owner arrived and informed us that they were out of the normal .25 dice and they placed $3 dice in the tray instead and refused a refund once again. Once the situation was dealt with we were kicked out and then the owner followed out and said we cannot be on the side walk and kicked us onto the street. I find the fact that a toy store is taking advantage of little children to be disgusting and revolting. The employees are rude, however, considering the Christmas theme I suppose I did find the owners Grinchish attitude fitting. Do not come here unless you want to be yelled at and kicked...
