Yodelin Broth Company and Beer Garden — Restaurant in Leavenworth

This place has nothing to do with European/German/Bavarian. It's simply a cheap looking restaurant opened by snowboarder dudes. Basic recycled decor and furniture. Not comfortable at all...not to mention the worst looking repaired table...really? Now? Why waiting in the door for 15 minute before being acknowledge....we had a reservation. We were there for 6 pm diner in the middle of the week. not busy at all. Lots of nonchalance going in the place.....a real "yo dude" management. Impossible to see who is working there due to no regular clothing. We don't think that the heavy set girl should be serving people with a white shirt and no bra....Is this the standards of the next generation? Remember that they have a lovely patio....for pets....lots of hot pets. Place is not suitable for elderly and anyone with pets allergy and anyone with some mobility restraint. ......Remember....yo dude restaurant with nonchalant servers and lots and lots of pets. We really liked seeing the server pet 3 dogs on his way to grab ice with hands to put in your water jug...yummy! I guess hand washing is not mandatory anymore if you allow pets in your establishment. Broth...and the lovely fish as their logo......WHERE IS THE FISH???? WE ordered 2 soups.....few store bough noodles, a hand full of kale 3 pieces of veg.....$18...and you must pay and add if you want protein. A very expensive, limited bowl of low quality noodle. Broth..well...we still try to find the fish in the broth..we were looking forwards to it...but we got a very very very mushroom soup and my boyfriend got an overly lemongrass type base broth. Absolutely NOT memorable at all in terms of taste, no sophistication at all. Is that what Vegan food is? BEWARE of the Ginger soda!!!! This should comes with a warning sign....one sip and it will burn your throat for the rest of the day....maybe that is why we taste the soup and it's was tasteless. Now let's hope they do clean dishes well since we all know by now that MASON jars are not the post sanitary...but hey it comes with a straw and other drinks and water jug is all cafeteria plastic glass and plates. I am very happy that I can eat real food.....cuz I will never go back there...no need for expensive tasteless vegan food...

Hey Yodelin team! Our experience left us feeling not great after dining there and we wanted to share in case it was something you might want to address for team training, etc. I don't want anyone to get in trouble, just a learning lesson. Leaving 5 stars because I am in the industry and the food was delicious and the atmosphere was lovely and I am certain this was not the fault of the proprietor of this sweet little spot!

We arrived at 7:30pm and when we placed our order my friend wasn't feeling great and said she would be ordering her dinner in a little while. Unfortunately our server didn't check back in after an initial "how is everything" and it took us quite a while to flag her down and ask if we could place the order for my friend. Sadly, when we flagged her down she informed us the kitchen had just closed. We were pretty disappointed since we had been clear we would be ordering more food from the beginning. I had ended up sharing half my meal with my friend which of course I am so glad I did because otherwise she would not have eaten at all!! But I am 6 months pregnant and left still pretty hungry, which is just especially unpleasant at that particular moment in ones life, specifically because we are in a hotel with no kitchen in a town where every food option seems to have shut down by the time we had left.

It just would have been nice to give us the courtesy of last call and if our server had forgotten, an "oops that was totally my fault, let me see if they are willing to sneak your order in" would have gone such a along way for us so at least we felt she tried. She felt bad and apologized, but didn't make any move to fix it.

All to say - would return, food was great, would recommend to others visiting Leavenworth, but would have loved to opportunity to order for 2 instead of just 1 of us! I also want to be clear that we still tipped well and were kind to the team, nothing in this world could make me leave a low star review or be unkind to the team in my line of work. I would, however, want to know if something like this happened at...

If you want a terrific variety of healthy delicious food, this is the place to go in Leavenworth! Every time we go we always stop at this restaurant. Service is always fantastic and they do so great at checking on us and are so nice with advice about the menu. Cool looking interior, is super clean and delicious food. Fantastic customer service. Seriously the servers deserve a good pay because they are so great at checking in. The only reason I'm removing stars is because of this and I think this is constructive feedback for management. Since I am vegetarian I asked for one of their healthy bowls but to substitute tofu instead of the fish and shrimp. This is usually NO problem at ANY other restaurant and the fish and shrimp are the MOST expensive items in the bowls so to REMOVE them and to replace with tofu would actually make it cheaper. The server came back and said I'd STILL have to pay full price AND the extra tofu charge! Wow! I never experience this at ANY other restaurants. Usually due to the replacement, restaurants keep it the SAME price and in some instances even slightly cheaper. Since the server was SO nice I very politely said "Oh gosh, I'd think by REMOVING the fish AND shrimp and just replacing with tofu that it'd be the same." The server agreed with me!! Ha ha! They said "Yep you're right, it SHOULD be that way. I don't know why they do it that way".   So even the server agreed with me!! Honestly it seems a bit selfish, greedy and a lazy kind of solution. For that I may not come back. I constantly remove and substitute items at restauarants being vegetarian and every other place says yep same price since you're just switching it out and others even say it's cheaper. Not sure why they'd ask for MORE money to replace by saying same price PLUS I pay for the substitution. Wow. NO other restaurant does that. That...
