IHOP — Restaurant in Livonia

I had not been to this IHOP location in a very long time. However, I don’t plan on going back anytime soon. The old management staff and possibly owners was AMAZING!

Customer service and management staff seems to be different now, and is very unprofessional and unconcerned about customer satisfaction. I as a customer had to be the one to speak to the two employees who were first seen, and at the front of the restaurant, they literally walked by right in front of me did not ask if I was being helped, and therefore assumed that I had been helped.

The first young lady stated that she didn’t conduct that job of allowing me to place a pick up order to go, and decided to turn her back on our conversation and twirled her hair with her finger, while also looking like she was not having a great day, viewed from her facial expressions, demeanor, and the tears and frustration that started to show… This was clearly not a position, in which she should have been placed in (possibly in the back away from customers, as we all have unfortunate days).

The second young lady, after I spoke to her first also, finally took my order the correct away however, then the cook did not prepare it correctly. I informed yet a third employee, whom then told who I think was a manager. The so-called manager brought my food back up front from the kitchen, and said that the cook (who clearly did not know what they were preparing), stated that the order was correct, when, in fact it was not.

Their were other unsatisfied customers, who also experienced the same behavior and unprofessional ways of the first employee. And one young lady who was there for an actual orientation of even working there, had to wait over 30 minutes for someone to come and get her. (I informed that young lady, that if she actually was going to be taking a position there, that she should try and make sure that she be the positive change to help it be better).

Being the bigger person, and due to the fact that I had waited way too long as it was, I simply just took the food and left the restaurant, however, after getting to my car, I noticed a piece of hair in the food at that point, because they had went back-and-forth with it uncovered.

The ONLY THING correct and untouched was the pancakes and French toast in which I kept with me while they tried to figure out the rest of the incorrect food and cheese choice as to my eggs. Totally disappointed with the entire management and team of employees at this location. NOT currently recommended! Horrible service! This location needs better management...

Ordered take-out for one adult and two children. Specifically ordered curbside because of a torn tendon in my leg and didn't want to hobble into the restaurant if I didn't have to. Ordered directly through their app, which is an easy experience and completely user friendly. The only downside is there is no order tracking through the app, but you do get notifications about your order.

When I arrived at the restaurant the app recognized I was in the parking lot and advised that they were wrapping up order and would be out shortly. After waiting 10 mins, I just went inside. The order was just sitting at checkout and was likely there for 10 mins. My advice, don't bother ordering curbside and just go in and pick up. They likely do not have enough workers to get this done.

My next advice, check your order before you leave. I was missing an order of hashbrowns and a side of sour cream. My omelette was also missing the mushrooms. And we didn't need silverware, but it's worth noting they gave us one fork for 3 meals.

The food was okay. My daughter ordered the chicken pesto crepes which she said were good until the last bite, where she got a piece of hard fatty chicken. Kind of ruined the meal for her.

My son had regular French toast and a side of sausage. He said the sausage was good and ate all that. He said the French toast was "disgusting". I had a bite and I wouldn't say it was disgusting, but something was off, like the bread wasn't fresh. Not a winner.

I had a make your own omelette. As I said, it was missing the mushrooms. On top of that, the sausage was burnt to a crisp and there was a ton of burnt sausage in it. The eggs were also overcooked and flat, not fluffy. I wish i had taken a picture because it looked nothing like the images on their menu. Overall, not very good. I've had delicious omelettes at my local diner so this one was sub-par.

In summary, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone and will not order again. I'm mad at myself for tipping 20% and not getting all my food. If you MUST go to this iHop, I suggest dining in, that way you won't be missing any food and can tip appropriately to the service you receive. It's also kind of expensive for the quality of food. You'll have a better time at your local diner.

My friend and I thought we’d get some burgers and fries, but we didn’t know what we were in for!

I wanted some ketchup and I asked a server that wasn’t serving us, but kept walking by, so I asked him for some ketchup and he said, I’ll let her know, meaning our server, I still didn’t get any ketchup. I asked him again, I said, I’m gonna be done with my fries and I still didn’t get any ketchup and he said, very rudely, (like I haven’t been spoken to in this way by people in prison) he said, I’m not your server, but I’ll tell her!?! I couldn’t even believe it!!!

Isn’t it teamwork that makes the dream work? When I was a server we helped each other out and if a customer asked for ketchup, the customer got ketchup! Am I right?

When I used to wait tables I’d have lost my job on the spot and the manager didn’t even make him apologize. I have never been treated like this in my life, I was shocked and hurt! The manager did give us a small discount, but I would have preferred an apology and for Anthony to get fired on the spot! Like I said, I have never been spoken to like that before!

I don’t know why we keep going back, every time we go the service is slow, which I don’t mind, as I keep going back! I just don’t think I’ll be going back, now! I will not put myself in the position to be spoken to like this, so I probably won’t go back! I always brought my friends and told people about how good the food is, especially the burgers! I’ve been getting burgers there for years, it’ll be sad, but I believe I’m done. Until I get an apology and I know that ANTHONY doesn’t work there anymore! That’s ANTHONY, ANTHONY, ANTHONY. The rudest boy I ever met!
