Appalled by the lack of respect. From the moment we (party of 4- who frequent this establishment at least weekly) walked in we were greeted by a gentleman who was unenthusiastic and cold. When we were seated the server Elizabeth was beyond rude, cynical and disrespectful. I toldthe gentleman who greeted us I belive his name is Antonio and he just said ok, sorry you feel that way" with an attitude and I told him it seems like we arent welcomed here its very uncomfortable. And he asked how so in a very defensive manner. This is not typical behavior from this establishment. We typically get the same servers and have never ever had an issue. Elizabeth approached us and very annoyed said , are you done!?" -- with our order sheet. We sat with not even water being brought to our table. We noticed Tracy another server we see alot-- and asked if she wouldnt mind helping us. She brought out waters and our food, as Elizabeth refused to. Our wines and beers were never brought out, and Tracy was so professional and apologetic insosted to bring them out but by then we just wanted to leave. Elizabeth hadnt put in our food order so when it did finally come out, the rolls came out before the appetizers.. It was just a mess. I cannot believe someone would behave in this manner. And when the rolld came out the baked salmon roll was cold and raw and Antonio was very irritated and questioned us about it when he could see the plate. My wife got sick and ran to the restroom and had vomited. It really is a shame because I turned my friends on to this place and we come all together very often. With these people at the forefront of the restaurant I wont be coming back. If you do happen to go make sure you ask for Tracy or the blonde guy or the tall guy with the curly hair-- and the girl w the pretty makeup. I really hope that these two learn that you cannot treat people the way they did. Its rude and...
Read moreFour and a half stars for the food based on one visit and what I got: Yellowtail truffle hand roll & salmon truffle hand roll Unbelievable. I hadn't thought or really had the option of truffle on sushi and holy cow I may have a new obsession. They use a most delicious and easy to eat rice paper, super fresh fish, and black truffle oil. Yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!
Tuna sashimi with truffle. I, much to the disdain of my wife, lifted the plate once I devoured the tuna, and drank the truffle oil stuff off the plate. No regrets at all. Again with the holy moly.
Crunchy rice. This is such a favorite of mine from deli 3 that I had high high hopes for a living. The crunchy cube, the tuna and spicy sauce, the green onion... O m g really three for three? This could be a dream.
Lemon roll was really good as well, with this tasty fried? garlic.
Rainbow roll was very meager for 7 bucks a pop my son had to order a second it was so tiny.
Garlic edamame wasn't anything to write home about, for that you gotta go to Ototo.
All in all it was sixty bucks and unbelievably delicious. But there's two final notes you need to know:. Service was actually funny how inpersonal it was. Rude is how I felt by Elizabeth. She straight up walked away from the table while I tried to find the last roll I was going to order. Never looked us in the face. Had to literally stand in her way to order anything else. And when we left, it had a line about 20 deep.
Will be back, bad service cannot thwart that truffle hand rolls and...
Read moreWHAT DID I HAVE: I ordered the tuna, the yellowtail, the black snapper, the jumbo scallop, the salmon egg, the spicy tuna guacamole roll, and miso soup.
HOW WAS IT: Everything was perfect, just absolutely delicious. The fish was very fresh and high-quality, the spicy tuna guac roll was really flavorful and unique, and the soup was hearty and comforting.
HOW MUCH DID IT COST: Including tip, the entire meal cost about a little under $33, which is a pretty great deal considering not only the quantity of the food served, but the QUALITY. Seriously, it felt like the meal should've cost me way more than $33.
WOULD I COME BACK: Yes, this is a great place to come back to with friends and family and significant others. Keep in mind that parking is kind of annoying, so it's probably better to grab a cab/uber/lyft/etc. over there.
WOULD I RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO OTHERS: Yes, the service is quick and professional, the food is great and the prices are hard to beat. One thing I should note though is that this place is very busy during lunch/dinner times, so call ahead to see how busy they are. I don't know if they do reservations (I just went there), but I would call and...
