Holly Hills Cleaners ruined a brand new white dress shirt that I brought in to be cleaned. I asked them to remove the tags and launder the shirt. 2 days later, when I came in to pick up the shirt, the owner said that there was a brown stain that could not be cleaned out. When I pointed out the shirt had never been worn & that his coworker had herself removed the price tags, he said it might be a 'chemical' that the manafacturer may have put on the shirt (hah!). He then said that nonetheless he could have stain removed in 2 days.....so 2 days later I returned.. only to be told stain could not be removed. The shirt was wrecked. When I asked for reimbursement for the shirt, the owner refused, saying he would take the shirt (plus receipt) to the store where I had purchased it and get a replacement, clean it and have it ready in another 2 days. His assistant took a photo of my store receipt and I thought all was settled. I returned another 2 days later, only to be told I was a liar, that the receipt was not valid, that they would not refund me for the shirt. The owner had never taken the shirt in. He had just decided to do nothing. I was incensed. They are the WORST!! They also wrecked another piece of clothing months ago, but that time I gave them the benefit of the doubt......not this time. I am SOL on one white dress shirt that cost $ 60.00. I will NEVER set foot in...
Read moreThis is a dry cleaning service, I assume they have it listed as a junk removal to cover over what I can only assume are lots of bad reviews.
I took a white shirt and some other items here to be cleaned and pressed on a Monday before leaving for a trip on a Saturday. When my wife went to pick up the items on Thursday, somehow the white shirt was sent home with a different customer. The owner couldn’t have cared less, and offered no help in getting the shirt back in a timely manner. It’s been over 2 months now, and won’t make any effort to contact the customer who has my shirt (fwiw, I’m not normally the type to be so petty about a shirt, but I was married in the shirt and it has sentimental value to me).
Anyway, highly recommend you take your clothes elsewhere. Not only does the owner provide poor service,...
Read moreI live up in the canyon and for three years I was a loyal customer. I typically would take 7 to 10 pieces every two weeks. When the employees (Daniel, Juan?) greeted me, they recognized me and seemed appreciative, but when the owner Mr. Choy (or Choi) is at the counter it is a different story. He is indifferent and gruff and lacks appreciation for his customers. He has interacted with me many times, but never seems to remember me. The tailoring is good and the cleaning is acceptable, but when a merchant can't be friendly to his customers, why give him your business. He also needs to clean his store.
Now I take my stuff to a friendly place near my office - while it is not as convenient - at least they know my name and seem to appreciate my business and act like they want me to keep...
