Tanya, Spencer, and Christy made my wife and my first visit to this location an absolute joy and incredibly memorable. My wife and I originally came to Maui for our honeymoon and we are here again celebrating our 15 year anniversary.

Prior to our visit, I had emailed and called the store to make an appointment for the day we arrived explaining I had finally convinced my wife to get a traditional watch to wear in place of her Apple Watch. I have worn and used a Submariner as my daily wear and dive watch for decades so I naturally wanted her to have a Rolex as well. She has never shopped for watches and, as such, did not know what model and style she would like. I let the store know we would need to figure that part out and also provided my wish list on the off-chance something should become available during our stay.

When we arrived, Tanya greeted us and then took the time to show my wife all the different options she was interested in with the exhibition watches they have. I mentioned the models I would like as well so that we could eventually have matching anniversary watches. Our focus though was finding my wife something she would truly love. We were able to decide on the exact configuration she wanted and request that piece when it becomes available.

When we initially planned our visit, we did not know the store also carried jewelry. Tanya and her team took the time to show my wife every piece she was interested in, make suggestions, and just have fun trying things on. We ended up finding a wonderful piece that suited our anniversary and visit. The icing on the cake was that the store ended up having a watch for me as well! It was not one of the exact models I had initially inquired about but was very, very close. Seeing it in person sealed the deal and we were both able to leave for dinner wearing our new pieces that will always be a reminder of this milestone anniversary.

Tanya and everyone at the store spent well over an hour and a half to help us find what we wanted. They are friendly, courteous, and professional. Perhaps most importantly, they are genuinely interested in helping people find that special item and have a great experience.

We had such a great experience that we retuned the next day to find another item for my wife that matched one of her other handbags. Tanya was off that day so we had the opportunity to meet David and we found we shared an interest in scuba diving. David gave us some great tips on dive spots for the remainder of our trip while Spencer helped me with sizing the band on my watch and Christy helped my wife find the perfect matching piece to compliment her other bag.

We look forward to an excuse to visit Maui again for my wife’s watch as it is a great reason to take another vacation and visit our new friends...

I want to highlight Ryan Nakamura at the Tourneau boutique, Wailea.

A short story - I graduated with my Master's degree in June of 2019. I wanted to treat my self to a nice timepiece for my accomplishment. I went to three stores on Oahu and waited... I finally got the call in February of 2020 for a Rolex.

I turned it down because I, like everyone else thought the world was ending with the pandemic. I wanted to conserve cash for any unforeseen circumstances.

Fast forward a few months, I realized that the world was not ending. I put my self on the waiting list again; this time it was different. The demand for Rolex during the pandemic went into overdrive and it was impossible to get anything. You would walk in and the displays wound be empty. I almost gave up on getting a Rolex all together.

That all changed when I met Ryan. He made me feel valued and important even though I had no purchase history. We would stay in communication. I felt like he was genuinely advocating for me and trying to get me a timepiece. I knew Ryan was different from the other people who have helped me in the past.

Fast forward some time later... Ryan got in touch with me on a Monday at 2pm letting me know that my watch had arrived. I was on the next flight out at 4:30 to pick up my Rolex. (I don't live on Maui; I live on Oahu which is a 40 minute flight away.)

Ryan Nakamura made what seemed like the impossible, possible. It felt like mountains were moved, and oceans were split... haha

Going forward, I plan to only work with Ryan. I will go out of my way and fly to another island just to see this man for anything I need in the future.

Updated 2024: Came in on a Saturday around noon. The store was quite busy and my sales person was not available yet to assist me. Everyone in the store is warm, kind, and welcoming.

I flew in from Oahu to come and shop at this Tourneau. Ryan is always welcoming and makes me feel like I’m talking to a close friend.

I ended up purchasing a Bucherer pendant as a gift for someone. Ryan was kind enough to allow me to try on the watches on display.

If you’re in Wailea I highly recommend you visit this store!! Everyone is warm...

I have enjoyed each of my visits to this store. I first walked into this store many many years ago while vacationing in Maui, and Ryan spent a considerable amount of time with my husband and I and helped answer all of our questions. Ryan is incredibly knowledgeable and we loved talking to him about all sorts of time pieces. We did not have a purchase history with them yet he still took the time to help us, and he never ever made us feel dismissed, unlike other stores that we have visited. Ryan was very patient and kind. Even then (and much more now), Rolexes were hard to come by, and we didn’t hold much hope to be able to get one on our trip especially without a purchase history (most other stores require a purchase history). But Ryan treated us so well and when a new shipment came in while we were still on the island, he called us right away. That was many moons ago, and we still love to come into the store to say hi to Ryan whenever we are here on vacation. We have made other purchases as well - their Como Italia jewelry is also so beautiful. On the watches side, times have changed and exquisite watches such as Rolexes (and certainly they are not the only watch brands to have limited allocations relative to the increased demand) are so hard to come by and allocations to stores are so limited while demand is so much higher than before that it’s so rare to be able to get your hands on one. But if Ryan can get his hands on one for you, he would even without a purchase history! Regardless, we still love that we get to come in and see and physically try on and appreciate these rare watches on exhibit … and it gives us a chance to visit with Ryan :) We have had such a wonderful experience here and specifically with Ryan.
