Terrible. Absolutely discrimatory. DONT FALL FOR THE "FRIENDLY PET POLICY". My fiance and I were in transition from an apartment in indy to our home in toledo. We checked in on Feb 14th and were unsure of how many days we were going to need so paid day to day. Monday morning Feb 15th a staff member possibly a manager showed up at our door about 10am demanding a paid reservation within 15 minutes or we had to leave, then proceeded to claim our room smelled like cigarette smoke. Which we hadn't smoked and actually just came back inside from smoking. Everyday seemed to be increasingly uncomfortable when we would continue our stay. On Saturday morning which was Feb 20th staff was at the door around 10a once again and this time our reservation had been placed she was unable to find the reservation but before walking away notified me she or staff would need to do a walk thru per ESA's policy after 7 days need to walk thru the room. After telling her I was in the middle of a shower and would gwt back to her quickly she went on and on about the days reservation she couldn't find. If she didn't find it by x time we would need to leave. Knowing we did in fact pay online thru the Priceline app and it wasn't showing was very aggravating and staff was of no help even after showing her the money came out of my account she was just short of calling me a liar. The mistake was on Pricelines end scheduling for a future date. She came back to my room walked in WITH HER covid mask on and claimed it smells like animal urine....and because of this she would NOT be renewing our stay the following day. When challenged on the policy and her decision she wouldn't answer. After some time passed and making a few calls I called the front desk to simply get clarification and was hung up on. I would NEVER recommend this hotel or chain to anyone. My 5 pound chihuahua/terrier mix had stayed just 1 night and a total of 24 to 32 hours. I'd never been treated so unjust. I pray...
Read moreWe were driving through Toledo and wanted to stop for the night. Unlike most extended stays we stayed at, this place was quite at the opposite end of the spectrum. Here are some of things that were off-putting for us the day we were there:
When we checked in and walked to our room, we couldn't get the key to open our door for the love of God. The room was quite smelly. It literally reeked of cigarettes. If it wasn't so late in the night, we would have totally moved out that same night. Stains and hair on sheets. Which makes me believe the sheets weren't changed before we were there. We were traveling with our baby and had gotten don't groceries the night of the check-in. When I checked out the next day I has forgotten the food in the refrigerator. I had called the hotel back to let them know I was coming back to pick it up and to leave things at th front desk. They return the call 30 minutes later when I was pulling into their parking lot only to tell me they threw the food (which wasn't even opened) away. The least they could have done is called to see if we wanted the food since the bags and milk bottle weren't even open. The room also should have come with breakfast included. But, we weren't served any breakfast because of "COVID". I mean they could have told us that or at least served food to the room.
On the bright side though, a lady was active and courteous at the front desk. She came and sprayed the room with Febreze but, that barely made a difference. It would be a huge understatement to say this stay was a true...
