Worst Penn Station in Ohio. The employees always have the back dining area closed (which is also the restroom access)leaving 3 oversized tables and the bar for customers to wait for food as well as dine in. The one time they had a mop and bucket just blocking the restroom entrance and when I asked if I could use it they did not even offer to move the mop and the bucket. Came back today and they once again had the back blocked off. So this time I moved the chairs because they were getting busy and only allowing customers a small 12 inch space between two chairs to walk through an aisle way to use the restroom and sit at the back tables. What if someone was in a wheel-chair or handicap? So I moved the chairs; I got tired of watching people try to maneuver through this tiny space including myself. Upon returning from the restroom the male employee than blocked off the entire space so I had to once again move the chairs and this time his wet floor sign which he sat in top of the chairs. Moreover the floor was not wet; it was slippery if anything from improper cleaning( felt greasy) and that's prob why they kept blocking it off because they did not want to clean it properly. Regardless customers still need to use the restroom and that's a slip and fall hazard waiting to happen from improperly cleaned floors not to mention fire and safety hazard since they are also blocking the back emergency exit. The one girl making food was also wearing an Apple Air earbud in one ear.
The overrated restroom is disgusting too and the toilet in the woman's room rocks side to side. Nothing like sitting on a rocking toilet!
I love Penn Station and have never had a bad experience at any location in Ohio in 20 years of being a loyal customer.
Eat at Penn Station; you will love it; Just don't do at...
Read moreThis place should be full of 5 star reviews…The food is always delicious but the customer service and atmosphere is less than desirable, and that is being generous. First, is the general lack of professionalism. Second, the employees make you feel you are bothering them. I have witnessed multiple altercations between staff and customers. On the first occasion the altercation was between other customers and the staff. That ended in staff yelling from behind the counter “you’re lucky I don’t come from behind this counter and f$&@&! stab you in the neck”. Second time I witnessed an altercation between the staff and customers that was straight up racial profiling. Absolute trash. Today on the third occasion it was towards me when I heard the staff say from behind the counter “corporate is aware, you don’t need to take f$&!@!*% pictures”. There are nasty gnats flying all around you and all over the walls. I went to the counter, politely asked for a bag, and left. There was no way we could stay inside to finish our food. My children and I finished our meals outside on the curb beside our car. The food is delicious. But the ATROCIOUS customer service and gnat issue has turned me away. If there is an issue with gnats that you have been unable to fix, call a pest control company, you don’t yell at customers. I will not return. I would...
Read moreWe have eaten at many Penn Station restaurants over the years and this is the most disappointing visit.
The place was dirty and there was stuff all over the floor. They had two high chairs blocking off the back part of the restaurant. When we tried to go through there, one of the workers said “that section is closed”. We asked if the restrooms were open and they said yes but that they didn’t want anyone walking through because they had already mopped the floor but it wasn’t close to closing. Apparently, they didn’t sweep the floor before mopping it because there was food, junk, and straw wrappers still underneath the tables and in the middle of the walkway. When I opened the door to the women’s bathroom, the toilet had paper towels shoved into it and the floor was wet and slippery from soap because they must not have wrung their mop out. I just walked out. The TV on the wall wasn’t working either and it had tons of dust on it. The kitchen was greasy and had food all over the floor.
When I asked for something to take out leftover food in, the person working just handed me a piece of paper they serve the food on which will do nothing to keep it from leaking in my car because the sub had juice running out of it. I asked for a container but they said that those were only for salads.
What a...
