Mattress Firm South Center Way Outlet Center — Hotel in Mehlville

This is the second mattress/bed we’ve purchased from Mattress Firm in South County. Very relaxed, low pressure environment. David explained the layout of the store and checked to make sure that I was still awake periodically.

Because we have several young kids, it was easier for my wife and I to visit at different times. David made this feel very seamless. He was able to guide my wife through products I was interested in and then was able to guide me through products she preferred the next day. These may seem like little things, but they made all of the difference to me.

Buying a mattress feels like an insurmountable challenge these days. Reviews are all over the place, new bed-in-a-box brands are popping up daily and they have great advertising budgets, but little history to back their claims. David was able to help us understand the subjective nature of mattresses, and steered us toward products with a proven track record of quality and great customer satisfaction.

We where told by Kyle, a general or area manager, that our existing bed and mattress would be removed upon delivery. When spending 13k you’d expect white glove service. When the delivery men showed they refused to take away the platform bed frame and claimed they didn’t do that. I called the store only to be met with “we dont do that” and that he should’ve explained that to us and apologized. But that was doing me any good with a huge platform in my house. So I was left with a huge broken bed frame left in my hallway with no way to get it out of my house.

First, that should’ve been explained so we could prepare to have it taken out, second, you dont spend that much money and not have a full service experience. The sales rep should have come up with a solution out of his own pocket and immediately rectified the situation since his commission on that amount is significant.

Not only will we never reccomend Mattress Firm, as a active member of the community I will and have already proactively gone out of my way telling people to spend dollars elsewhere. What a stressful and terrible experience it was to do...

Manager at store was knowledgeable answered all the questions we had gave us options didn't hassle or rush us. Very nice and professionall. The delivery on the other hand would not recommend. The 2 guys that came never talked to each other just made grunts to each other like animals they leaned to mattress up against the kitchen countertop and started to walk away I told them they were supposed to take the old one away that's why I had it delivered and that's what I paid for they just stood there staring at me like they didn't know or they had to process this information idk so I asked them again to take away the old one so one grunted at the other and the switched them. I should have done it myself to be honest would have been the same result.
