My stay at Samantha Apartment by Lowki was a complete disappointment, and I strongly advise against choosing this establishment. The photos provided online are highly misleading and do not accurately represent the actual conditions. There was a lack of communication as I received no instructions on accessing the property, forcing me to reach out via text and email for entry codes. Additionally, they suggested a remote storage service 10 blocks away for $3 per bag, an inconvenient and impractical solution. Upon reaching our designated room, the provided access code did not work, causing unnecessary stress, especially since my phone was low on battery. It took three calls from my girlfriend before someone finally responded, and shockingly, they were about to give us a new code without confirming our identity or occupancy of the room. The surroundings were far from appealing, with an adjacent abandoned building creating an unpleasant view. Inside the room, cleanliness was subpar, evident from dirty walls, water-damaged ceilings, and remnants of used coffee filters in the kitchen. The countertop was improperly attached with caulking, indicating poor maintenance. To add to the dismay, we discovered a cockroach in the bathroom, significantly disturbing our peace and comfort. Despite reporting this issue, the staff dismissively attributed it to the Florida beach environment, offering to spray the room instead of addressing the root problem. Their attempted remedy seemed like a mere patch-up job, accompanied by a dismissive attitude. Frustratingly, the quality of the room did not match the exorbitant price of $269 per night; it felt more akin to a budget motel charging $70 per night. While we understand the increased rates during events like Art Basel-Miami, this was beyond reasonable. Moreover, being asked to manage our own trash removal despite the high cost of the room and absence of daily cleaning services was utterly unacceptable. In conclusion, this experience fell far short of expectations, and I strongly advise seeking accommodations elsewhere for a comfortable and...

I want to share my experience with The Samantha by Lowkl, which we booked through Agoda.com. Unfortunately, our stay was disappointing, and I cannot recommend this hotel, especially for those who value cleanliness and hygiene.
We had booked two apartments, which initially seemed reasonably priced. However, after the second day, we discovered that both rooms had cockroaches. We even filmed one of them crawling next to the bed on the nightstand. In the other room, I found another cockroach under the bed, which I had to kill and then throw out of the room.
Another issue was the gap under the front door. There was about a 1 cm gap at the bottom of the door, which leads directly outside, with no lobby or additional protective area. This allowed pretty much anything—including pests—to crawl right into the room.
Due to these hygiene issues and the recurring presence of cockroaches, we decided to cut our stay short and book another hotel. Unfortunately, it wasn’t possible to switch to another building within the hotel. While the customer service was friendly and assured us that the cancellation was confirmed by Agoda, Agoda itself stated that The Samantha by Lowkl never officially confirmed the cancellation. As a result, we didn’t get the 400 € back for the two nights and are still working on resolving the issue.
In summary, I would not recommend The Samantha by Lowkl for travelers who care about cleanliness and hygiene. There was dust and dirt under the beds, and even dead insects. The windows were filthy, and the floor was in such bad condition that I wouldn’t walk on it without sandals.
I have no issue with Agoda; the problem lies with the property. They have not confirmed the cancellation for the last two days, which prevents me from receiving a refund. These two days were not used, and Agoda is still waiting for Samantha by Lowkl to provide confirmation as of today. The property should not act as if they hope the issue will resolve itself—they are the issue. They simply need to confirm the...
Read moreLocation is convenient to the beach and transportation, free Miami Beach trolley runs from 8a-11pm and Metro buses to South Beach and downtown Miami and Aventura Mall. There is also a bus directly to the airport all of this transportation is a half a block away. The bed was comfortable everything in the apartment worked including the air conditioner and the microwave and the hot water. The building is indeed next to a building that is under renovation and there is some noise for that during the week and it is also an eyesore. The access to the rooftop lounge was always locked so never got to see that. The biggest problem with this place is the sloppy maintenance and sloppy cleaning crew. As you can see from my pictures the floor has rarely been mopped as your feet will get dirty within 5 minutes, there is some black mold in the bathroom. The blinds in the main part of the room do not go up or down nor do they open or closed easily they should be thrown away and replaced.the air conditioner worked fine there was a faint smell of mustiness, they should however have a professional come and clean the unit instead of using a couple of febreze car fresheners clipped to the fin. The kitchen is fine it has the absolute bare essentials I only used the refrigerator and the microwave. The other problem here as you can see from the picture of the front door is that there's about a 1-in gap at the bottom of the door and indeed anything could crawl in here, so every night I placed a beach towel under the door. The TV was also mounted a big crooked and the dispenser for toilet paper is a long arms reach away. The door to the bathroom would not close properly and I actually had to fix it myself on the first night. I probably would stay here again because it is very convenient to where I work a few times...
