Mr. Sun Tea Mountain View — Restaurant in Mountain View

I've come to this place over 10 times, each time hoping for a better experience. I am ALWAYS disappointed.

They've only had their regular brown sugar boba ONCE. Sure, it's fresh hand made, but to be out so often of a main variety? They need to plan and exicute better. It's like they wait until they're totally out to make more.

Using the kiosk to order doesn't inform you when they're out either. They'll simply call your number after you pay to tell you they're out of it and offer to sub it. I'd rather not even get the drink half the time.

Most of the drinks themselves are plain and lackluster. Their tea isn't great. The one exception I've consistently been pleased with is their drink with the non-alcholic beer. It's oddly an amazing mix. Everything else I've tossed before getting halfway.

The first time I ordered their "milk tea" THERE WAS NO MILK IN IT. I told them, and they told me "it's actually the fresh cream drink you should have ordered" and didn't offer the replace it. Why the FUDGE would I know that?

There used to be an older women who seemed to be running it, her attitude always sucked.

When she's not there, there are always super quiet and awkward kids running the store, and they're customer service also sucks. I feel bad for calling the kids out, but, management needs to hire people interacting with customers to actually be able to interact. There is zero service to their communications, body language, and physical movements. No hustle, no caring, no anything.

I stopped in after grabbing a meal nearby, looking for any boba in the recent heatwave. Let me tell you, I was in for a surprise and I didn't even know it. Upon entering I was greeted by a comfortable and clean atmosphere and good music. To my surprise, just behind the glass on the counter was a worker actively making the fresh boba pearls! Ordering the drinks went nicely and they had a very good selection of teas and flavors. I opted for the simple and classic Brown Sugar Boba w/Fresh Milk, and it was one of cleanest, smoothest boba drinks I've ever had. The owner was on site and she was very kind and generous by answering any questions and letting us sample her freshly made boba. She showed such passion for her craft and the business and it shows in the quality of the product provided. The fresh boba she let me sample was absolutely delightful and had a flavor unlike any of the typical tapioca boba pearls you would find at your average boba shop.

Definitely suggest coming to Mr. Sun Tea and trying out their boba. A simple review can't begin to show the difference in taste and quality.

This is my favorite boba place next to where I live. Grabbed one on the way back from the dentist cleaning this morning.

They make their own boba from scratch and you can see them make it super cool!

Been here about a dozen times before. How did I not notice this.

Super clean building with bathrooms. Never busy.

They have specialties. My favorite is the Mr. Sun passion fruit green tea with boba and coconut jelly 25% sugar and less ice. You can customize it how you want.

I actually like this place better than the options downtown.

Nothing much to complain about here. Except the girl taking my order today was so soft-spoken I could hardly hear what she was asking.

Recommend if you're dropping by or going past to grab a cold or hot drink. Or if you just need a home away from home to work...
