Midway Park — Attraction in Myrtle Beach

The outdoor pickleball court is an absolutely beautiful facility. I just wish we had more like it in our area. I went here with my sisters and my friends for pickleball. Most of us are pretty new to the sport, but the community there is extremely welcoming and inviting, which made our experience even more enjoyable. I look forward to going back and making new friends whenever I visit, and I certainly intend to revisit.

The courts are all in beautiful condition. They are well marked, meticulously maintained, and provide excellent traction, which is essential for a good game. There is plenty of shade to sit in, perfect for taking breaks between games, especially on hot days. Additionally, there is free parking nearby, making it convenient to visit without worrying about parking fees, they also provide a system at the court entrance to keep track of court reservations to circulate players when the courts are busy like they were when we visited, it was clear and easy to understand.

The overall atmosphere of the facility is positive and friendly. The setting is peaceful, allowing players to enjoy their game without distractions. The seating areas are comfortable, and the shaded spots are great for relaxing and cooling down. The facility is easy to access and provides ample space for players to move around freely.

In summary, this pickleball court is a gem in our community. It’s a fantastic place for both beginners and experienced players to enjoy the sport in a welcoming environment. I highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for a great place to play pickleball and have a wonderful time with friends and family.

Do not go here to play pickleball unless you have a 4 some. Went today 4/29/2023 morning. All courts were full. No rotating, i.e. when a game finished the four people on the court did not give up the court so others could play. Additionally no one would speak to me and when I asked a question the person I spoke was shocked that I didn't understand how things worked. If you go be sure to go with a group of four or the number of people you plan on playing with. But... the courts themselves are...

Went here for pickleball. Has 8-10 courts depending on how much it rained. A bit disorganized as far as getting on court if you’re new there (as I was). Some folks took advantage of moving ahead of you… I’m sure they’re regulars and have their own group. Mostly experienced players so not sure if beginners fit in without having their own group.

Loved that they had a nice water fountain/ bottle fill and clean restrooms. There is shaded seating area, and can bring your own...
