I can't believe it took me until now to realize I hadn't written a review about my trip in November! I have nothing but wonderful things to say, and a glowing review to give to the Regatta Inn.
Lyn is the most adorable, thoughtful and charming woman. She has a wonderful sense of humor, and we truly enjoyed spending time in her company. Since it was off season, we were the only people at the inn for most of our trip. Lyn even offered to let us try out a different room if we wanted to (we declined, but the rest of the rooms did look fantastic). We spent our week-long stay in Room 9, which has a private entrance on the back of the house. The bathroom is small, but who cares? You're not there for the bathroom, are you? :) The room itself is beautifully decorated, the bed was comfortable and the blankets in the room were so nice that I had to ask Lyn where she got them (the answer was Wayfair, btw). The house itself is a short walk from the center of town, and while we were there it was nice and quiet. There is a restaurant next door I was dying to try, but they were closed for a few weeks so we didn't get to try it out. Next time, for sure!
She made us a wonderful breakfast every morning with all sorts of options, catering to my boyfriend's lactose intolerance with ease. When it was just us in the inn, she would even ask us if there were specific things we'd like her to make and at a certain time, and she'd leave out little treats in the dining room in the middle of the day to enjoy with coffee or tea. There was a day with poor weather and we just stayed inside, chatting with Lyn in front of the fireplace before we went to dinner - and ended up seeing Lyn and some of her friends there, which was a lovely surprise!
She recommended that we rent bikes to cruise around the island and rent a Jeep to go out on the sands of the Nantucket National Wildlife Refuge and those were both the best recommendations. We loved seeing the island by bike, at our own pace, and unobstructed by any traffic. And the Jeep rental ended up letting us see even more of the island as well as sunset at Madaket Beach (another recommendation of hers - so much so that she offered to drive us herself!), and when we came back we couldn't wait to share our trip with Lyn. You can tell how much she genuinely cares, and she felt like our best friend by the end of the trip.
I literally cried when we had to leave because not only is Nantucket my dream come true, but Lyn made the experience one that I can hardly bear waiting to do...
Read moreThis is my third time staying at Regatta Inn and this time we truly had the best time and felt the most pampered thanks to Alicia and all of the staff at Nantucket Resort Collection. They think of everything from freshly baked cookies at the perfect time to having chia seeds, flavored syrups, fresh fruits at breakfast. The list of incredible items goes on: on the patio you have available to you towels, umbrellas beach chairs and even multiple different brands of sunscreen. ||||At night you can cozy up by one of the fireplaces and enjoy nice hot cup of tea. They have hot water, varieties of tea and even snacks, and bottled waters available all day. ||||The decor is nautical, chic and everything is so clean. ||||The best part is that if you need anything you can ask and they will provide it for you with a smile, as if you are home!! ||||I highly recommend you to book your next stay at Regatta and hope you get the chance to meet Alicia, she is the greatest and made our stay...
Read moreThis hotel was very disappointing. There are several things that guests should be aware of. First, there are TVs but they are not Smart TVs. They have basic cable, not even HBO or Showtime. It’s 2024, get with the times! Secondly the bed was extremely soft and mushy without any support. If you like that then you will be fine. Breakfast is quite poor. Granola, cheerios, Raisin Bran and quaker instant oatmeal packets. Bagels seem like they are frozen. They say freshed baked goods but they taste like they are from Costco. Coffee was not very good and no plain yogurt, just flavors. No bathrobes in the room and the towels are just average. |Location is good and quiet. Unfortunately the town was having the sidewalks dug up so we had to walk our bikes to the hotel.|I’ve stayed at some #1 hotels like The Merrion Hotel in Dublin, Grand Hotel Tremezzo and The Reykjavík Edition that deserve the #1 labels. So if you say you are the #1 B&B on Nantucket you better back it up with...
