We made our reservations at The Nantucket Hotel and Resort because we were attending a wedding and reception held here. Little did we know how welcoming the staff would be to our entire group. From the manager Carlos and his wife Fulya, to the wait staff to the sweet lady that maintained our room...everyone was special. We felt like we were visiting family because that is just how good we were treated. The price of the rooms are a bit expensive but in spite of that, we would stay here again without hesitation just because of the great staff. Our room was the Islander Deluxe and it was very nice. It felt like a great bedroom in a really nice home. The room included heated tile floors in the bath, robes and slippers, a huge comfortable king size bed, along with a couch and ottoman. We were extremely comfortable. Breakfast in the Breeze Restaurant was included with the room price; not a continental breakfast but a real breakfast. I could go on and on about how much we enjoyed our stay. The wedding and reception were wonderful as well; everything stayed on schedule and hor d'oeuvres and dinner were so delicious. As I said, we would stay here again without hesitation and definitely will make plans to stay right here when we come back to visit our family.

Amazing staff, both helpful and friendly across the board. Location of hotel is ideal if you want to spend time downtown. They offer shuttle rides to lots of locations. The continental breakfast is good. If you want something more substantial than what is pictured you can add cooked items for $20-30. So why only three stars? Very disappointed in the amount of sounds heard in room 12. Cordless vacuum on stairway next to our room at 0700 each morning. Beeping sound from fire system around the same time each day. Too close to lobby. We experienced a large group having a loud get together in the lobby area until after 11 pm on a Tuesday night. We won’t come back due to the poor sleep we received from being woken up consistently. The noise issue overwhelmed the positive aspects of the stay. The management team offered some compensation for all the noise we experienced, but the bottom line is we traveled 3,000 miles to experience Nantucket and we came away frustrated with the experience. Other rooms besides number 12 may be totally quiet and up to standards for a hotel at this price point. Just avoid room 12 if you have any concerns about noise.

Another highly expensive place as I’ve stay in my share of expensive places throughout my travels. I have traveled all over. The level of hospitality here is unmatched. The staff cannot do enough for you...little surprise for me and my love including a ride around town aboard the hotel shuttle, fun. The shuttle is a late model bus and it is so cool riding around downtown in it. Our suite felt like a home away from home and the entire resort is meticulously kept. Feeling like royalty. They even transported all of our luggage and met us at the ferry so that we could enjoy the final hours of our stay in town. There is a quaint beach a 5 minutes walk from the hotel. So beautiful seeing the sunset and sunrise. We really cannot see staying anywhere else if we are blessed to return to this magnificent island in our travels. Much thanks to all at The Nantucket Hotel & Resort!

The island of Nantucket is known for it’s natural beauty and charm, and there is never a shortage of seasonal sites and adventures to choose from. So it takes a lot for a hotel to offer a setting that makes you feel so at home and relaxed you won’t want to venture too far. The Nantucket Hotel does just that with a resort filled with tons of activities and amenities; it is a true urban meets island oasis.

The property, opened as the Point Breeze for it’s first summer back in 1891, originally consisted of forty “sleeping apartments” equipped with fine furnishings and connected to electric bells in the hotel’s office. Early marketing boasted the running water on each floor, two dining rooms, billiards, water views, and a host of other first class amenties. So even back in more remote days, the hotel was already known for modern day sophistication and luxury.

The hotel makes a tremendous first impression; a beautiful wrap around porch, the tall flag topped tower, and at the time we visited, a wall of hydrangeas so beautiful, I am suddenly daydreaming while writing this. A grand staircase leads up to the beautifully appointed lobby, where you can see the impeccable aesthetic and design that Ms Snider is so well known for. It is modern chic at it’s best.

The halls and room decor is an extension of the design that started down in the lobby. Most coastal resort town hotels need to walk a fine line between nautical kitsch and upscale ambience. Too many whales and seashell knickknacks get old fast; and modern and sleek decor and design can hide the charm of the location. This hotel does it beautifully.

Guest rooms are all suites, with one-to-four bedrooms available, and include kitchenettes and living/dining areas. Private cottages are also an option; one-and-two bedroom homes are located right next to the main building. Depending on the side and floor you’re on, some rooms even offer water views (ours did!). The bathrooms are all sleek and modern, but family friendly enough for those traveling with little ones. We came home ready to renovate our own rooms to mirror some of the design that our suite had. The devil is in the details and everything about the rooms are perfectly thought out. It’s easy to forget where you are and just want to stay inside and enjoy every bit. But we have exploring to do!

Once you’re all checked in, you have an amazing assortment of in house activities and amenities to choose from. Two heated pools, a kids club, a state of the art fitness and spa facility, and a shuttle service to neighboring Jetties and Surfside beaches. If you’re not ready for the gym, head down to the bar for a cold cocktail on the front porch.

Hungry? The hotel features the popular island restaurant Breeze, which features a contemporary New England coastal and international menu. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, and can also provide a picnic lunch to go for any island adventures you might have planned (we took ours out to Siasconset Beach).

For me, one of the biggest assets of the hotel is the location; you can walk anywhere and I would highly recommend being an early bird to enjoy the beautiful streets and surrounding neighborhood which are quiet perfection at dawn. If you want to explore the island, it is easy to take a local car service or Uber; they also have a hotel car that you can arrange to take on a first come/first serve basis. Sharon is the absolutely delightful concierge and she’s always ready to lend a hand when you’re trying to plan your day. You’ll find her desk located right in the lobby.

There is a saying, “Nantucket is always a good idea”. But I would amend it to say “and The Nantucket Hotel + Resort is always a good choice”; and since it’s open all year (with the exception of a few weeks in February) the resort is an idea and choice you can make again and again. Til next time….

Oh my, Nantucket Hotel exceeded my expectations, and I am a tough customer. I visited as a solo traveler for five days of much-needed rest and rejuvenation, and this hotel delivered in spades. From the moment I walked in, I felt like it was a second home, and every single employee I interacted with was helpful, friendly, and welcoming. They could not do enough for me. I felt safe and pampered, and everything I wanted and needed, they were able to help make happen. From the top down, their General Manager, Carlos, and the front desk team: Fulya, Nicole, George, and Theresa, fielded my many requests with kindness and efficiency. The concierge, John, is the concierge extraordinaire. He was incredibly knowledgeable and spot-on with his recommendations and helped me sort out my activities for the week. Although basically in town, the hotel has a shuttle which came in handy with the stormy weather. When it was raining and very windy, Omar and Bennie were fantastic in giving me rides - they even met me at the door of one establishment with an umbrella.

I loved the fitness classes; Patricia is an experienced, excellent yoga instructor and Suzanne's sculpting class was also very good.

I loved the rooms. They were nicely decorated and had lots of beautiful touches, from the Nespresso machines and coffee to the comfy beds, luxurious Frette bed linens and towels, and the most comfortable bathrobes ever. Someone paid lots of attention to detail, and it is appreciated. I also found the crew in the restaurant for the morning breakfast to be super accommodating and helpful-shout out to Iva.

This hotel runs like a well-oiled machine, and I loved that the people seemed to like their jobs and enjoy working together to ensure the guests had a fantastic experience. Thank you, Nantucket Hotel, you knocked it out...

I am a single dad with a severe vision disability. My daughter and I have been staying at the Nantucket Hotel and Resort each summer for a week since 2021. From the owners, Mark and Gwen, to Carlos and his wife, Fulia, managers, at the property, the very humorous and warm, Danny, the Deputy Operations Manager, the lovely staff at the front desk, the waiters and waitresses at the Breeze, the housekeeping staff, the pool and gym team, and of course, the Concierge everyone is amazing! I save up so we can make this trip each year. For one week, my daughter and I feel like royalty. Everyone goes out of their way to accommodate my disability. We are treated with the utmost respect and dignity, something many times in our day-to-day life not afforded to us because of my disability and being a single dad. We absolutely love the Nantucket hotel and Resort. My daughter even says the place is so great, that it "doesn't need water slides." I hope to bring my daughter to Nantucket for every year possible and we will always stay at the Nantucket Hotel and Resort. I hope that my daughter will one day bring her children there and she will share with them the many wonderful memories that she had with her dad each summer at the Nantucket Hotel and Resort! Thank you everyone at The Nantucket Hotel and Resort for bringing so much joy to our lives each summer. Your resort is so wonderful! I hope other families with unique stories of overcoming many significant daily obstacles will stay there and enjoy some time being treated so well like my daughter and I are each summer. Many many...
