When I arrived, the showers, sauna and steam room were all out of service in the ladies locker room. One toilet was also flushing constantly (broken) so the locker room was incredibly loud, more like a gym locker room than a spa. Not being able to to use any of those amenities, it was an extremely boring hour plus while waiting for my service, as I had showed up early to use them. It was not mentioned when I checked in that anything wasn’t functional- had it been, I’d have come later.
The sauna, constantly flushing toilet and one shower was fixed by the time my services were over, however sauna use was discouraged by my provider, so I missed out. The showers also did not have the eucalyptus steam feature that was mentioned on the website (though there was a sign advertising that the spray was available for sale...) and since only one was working there was a huge line for it and it felt very rushed
The services were ok, though I wouldn’t go on a weekend... their weekend pricing is a little painful for what you get. but the low rating was really because I was really disappointed that the amenities weren’t available, and there was no mention of anything not working when I booked or checked in, and no attempt to make it right AT ALL.
Also, their estectians seem more like salespeople than relaxation experts. Mine was SUPER pushy about the products I “needed”, and being completely unwilling to recommend anything I could grab where I usually shop, Sephora or ulta. The products she recommended totalled about $500 (for three things!), and as I could t get a sample to see how my skin would react after a few days of using it (like you can literally anywhere else that sells skincare) I said no thanks, which the lady at the desk wasn’t too...
Read moreHad a facial this morning at Relache spa. The entire experience was so disappointing. Drove all the way from Clarksville because this spa seemed really promising. After you get into your robe you’re asked to wait in the relaxation room. I’m not sure what’s relaxing about hearing couples chat the entire time and hearing someone open mouth chew on peanuts and pretzels. The snacks in the relax room really need to be removed…
My 50 minute face facial was the most intense facial I’ve ever received. They don’t dim the lights. The esthetician moved 1000 miles an hour. Knocking things over, roughly drying my face off with bath towels…. My jaw was so sore & my cheeks were throbbing after the service - I actually called the spa director to give her feedback about the experience while I was driving home. I was really looking forward to today as I’m in a high stress job & 5 weeks from my wedding. This was nothing even close to relaxing.
I definitely appreciate the director hearing me out. But I spent well over $200(you’re required to tip 20%- you don’t have an option and it’s automatically added on to the bill at the end) on one service. I kindly told her I was visiting from out of state and wouldn’t have the opportunity to come back. She said she could give me $50 off my next service…. I can’t tell you the next time I’d be in Tennessee. Ideally she would’ve refunded me some of the service. I feel like I wasted so...
Read moreThe only reason I am giving them two stars is because the therapist was very friendly and I enjoyed chatting with her. I was very disappointed in the experience and it was outrageously over priced. When I booked my appointment I was not informed that it was considered peak time so my service was going to be $160 instead of $135. I discussed the type of pressure I liked with the booking specialist. She made it sound like most of the spa "included" services were available. So I was expecting to spend a large part of my day enjoying the spa. I thought these extras would justify the price. The relaxation room was basically just a waiting area and the shower was just a locker room shower with a spray bottle of eucalyptus spray. I was not happy with my pressure level, I asked for more pressure during the message but couldn't tell a difference. I also asked the therapist to focus on specific areas ( hips, feet, shoulder). My hips weren't touched, she only tapped her fingers on my toes (didn't rub heels), and the shoulder work was just ok. At the end of the message I told the person who checked me out that I was disappointed in the service but they didn't seem to care, just wanted payment. They really need to adjust their prices if they are going to continue to keep so much of...
