Absolutely incredible all the greenery and walking and views just within the resort! Just beautiful. They had started decorating for Chrismtas and that added to the beauty. Our room smelled like stinky feet. Our room was 2 queen beds. There was one hook for towels and one small rack, only good for a hand towel. Since there were 4 people in our room it was annoying that we had no where to hang towels. The bell hops were so friendly and informative. Thankfully Michael walked us to our room and I was able to make it back to our room by "going where Micheal went". It seemed a majority of the people we saw at the booked resort (there were a few conventions going on) were lost. We all had the same look on our face so when we made eye contact we just had to laugh. Different sections had the lobby on floor 1 and other sections had the lobby on floor 2. It wasn't until 2/3 way through our visit did we realize the maps as big signs (which were needed) were different on one side from the other. We thought it was so confusing to look at the map, walk a short ways to the next map and it be "upside-down" compared to the map we just looked at. Turns out if you look at the other side it is the same direction. Arcade games were over priced, but expected. The Soundwaves was closed most days we were there but it looked awesome. Indoor pool was decently warm. Could have been a tad warmer. The bathroom/locker room by the pool was FREEZING cold. The outdoor hot tub was nice!!! We enjoyed watching Sunday football at Fused, playing cards at The Falls, and the food at the BREEZY Cold Cascade. The Stackz Burger place was a tad disappointing. For made to order burgers, mine was luke warm at best. Aiden was the best gelato server ever! Super friendly and fun! We enjoyed walks to the Grand Ole Opry and the Opry Mills Mall and to Backstage Grill. We also enjoyed the water shows. Most people in our group did the boat tour and enjoyed it. I thought it was overpriced. Expect a TON of walking even just within the resort. Front desk and concierge staff were very helpful. I appreciated the randomly staged staff members available to answer your questions. The rock wall was entertaining and the staff member humored us lol! However, the rock wall staff is hidden away around the corner down the hall from the rock wall. The daily water bottles were much appreciated and we were looking forward to using the free bucket of balls at the practice golf course, but never got around to it. Both were nice touches. The rooms could use microwaves but internet searches gave us some ideas foe reheating leftovers without a...
Read moreMy stay at The Gaylord Opryland Resort was like no other vacation I had ever been on. Starting with the service that I had been given from the very start. Walking in, the staff was extremely friendly, helping my family and me with our bags and carrying luggage inside. When first walking in, you'll hear the beautiful sounds of waterfalls and the gorgeous view even when being in the lobby. The whole building was just stunning. When walking into my room at the resort, I first noticed how we had a balcony overlooking the main area of the resort. Looking out from the balcony, I felt like I was staying in a jungle. My room was very clean and spaced out perfectly. |There are numerous activities to do when staying at the Gaylord Opryland Resort. While I was there visiting, my family and I went into the main jungle area to take stunning pictures. Everywhere you looked was a picture perfect spot. The lights hanging from the ceiling and the gorgeous greenery all around was outstanding. We were not aware that there was a spot to have a boat ride on or we would have most definitely ridden on it.|The next morning, my family and I ate an amazing breakfast. Our waiter has to be one of the friendliest people we have ever met and was always there when we needed a refill or anything else. We were able to go up to the bar and pick out the food we wanted. Fresh fruit was served, donuts, omelets, sausage, eggs and so many more amazing breakfast food options. |After eating the delicious breakfast, my family and I made a trip to the indoor and outdoor water park because my family purchased the sound waves package. The indoor water park was really cool and reminded me of a more adult like version of Great-Wolf Lodge. My favorite part about the indoor water park was how there were two lazy rivers. One lazy river had the water moving at a more of a fast pace, and the other was slower paced and really gave you a relaxing experience. Unfortunately for us, we were not able to visit the outdoor water park as much as we had liked due to the rain. However, what I noticed about the outdoor water park was how large their wave pool was and how the waves started quickly after each cycle. My favorite part about the outdoor water park was how at the wave pool, there was a very large screen playing awesome music. The screen showed the music video along with the song. |Overall, my trip to the Gaylord Opryland Resort was amazing and I would absolutely go again if...
Read moreOmg this place is absolutely phenomenal. I've never seen a hotel quite large. There is a water park inside. There are restaurants inside. It is so big. You will get lost and never find your way. There's all sorts of shops, bars, arcades. There is something for everybody in this hotel. It's also across the street from a few restaurants and stores as well. And right off the main highway. The only downside I had was that the Wi-Fi was in the hotel. It really didn't work. And for whatever reason I wasn't able to get cell site. So I was reliant on the Wi-Fi so communicating while in the hotel was was next to napping. They have three beautiful atriums that are out of this world. Huge plants beautiful. Looks like something out of a Jurassic Park movie. Rooms alone are pretty expensive. Anywhere from $300 to 500 a night but if you were going to come for just one night I think it would be worth it. You really wouldn't need to leave the hotel. There's so much to do. The water park cost us around $60 each and that gave us access from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday. The hours may be very considering the weather is changing. We're only allowed to use the inside facility and it's more geared toward children but it was still fun as adults. You also have an option to buy a half day ticket which runs you around 45 bucks. He visited the Cascades restaurant inside. Really great. Food really expensive but we splurged on our last dinner and enjoyed it. I also visited the falls bar which was fun. The fuse bar and the little area that looks like French quarters in the Delta atrium. They also have shops, ice cream, pretzels, Pizza and many other things I didn't see. Even if you're not going to stay, I would suggest come in and checking it out. But be aware the parking is $37 per day. Anything over 20 minutes you have to pay $37. They are also right next to the Grand Ole Opry and the Grand Ole Opry mall. There is a trail that takes you from the hotel to that area. They also have a great exercise facility with an indoor pool and a hot tub. A spa too if that's what you're...
