I had the Cliff Walk foot treatment. It was really great. David was my therapist and it was a relaxing treatment from start to finish. He was a good therapist and I can recommend him as an individual. Unfortunately cannot day the same about the spa and other staff members. I have a few criticisms. Firstly you have to book two treatments to get a robe and you don’t get shown or have use of any spa facilities. I would have if I had time so I felt a little robbed of the complete experience. Also he asked me what I wanted from the massage and I explained the pain I my left heel, he barely touched it and I am just putting it down to the treatment being done in a standard way and he didn’t adjust it. Overall worth it but it would be nice to see them treat all customers the same. The no robe or spa with your single treatment feels like a money grab. Finally I paid with my Marriott Bonvoy card ahead of the treatment and as suggested on their website I asked about the special members benefits and I was told there are none but that I should check my account after because I ‘might’ get some extra points. Super...
Read moreThis spa charges a surcharge for service on the weekends and does not transparently disclose this up front when making reservations. I was quoted one rate at the time of booking and then charged a higher rate at checkout, and explained the surcharges only after the service was complete. The manager explained the rate was included in a confirmation email, which I did not recall receiving. I found it later in my junk box with a rate that was higher than what was verbally disclosed to me at the time of booking, but lower than the rate actually charged. Due to the deceptive business tactics, poor customer service, and smugness of the manager to overcharge despite these facts, I recommend customers look elsewhere for not only a better massage, but a better overall experience where they won’t be viewed as dollar signs walking through their doors. I expect far better from the...
