Welcome to the rudest and least accomodating restaurant in Newport RI !!! we went there last night(monday night) 7 people, Newport as a whole was very quiet, my disabled daughter in a wheelchair was so excited to go for the past week and a half so we were quite excited to go seeing all the positive reveiws, that ended as soon as we walked in ! The restaraunt was less than half full inside and outside, no hostess so we waited by the front next to the maître d' stand asking waitress's for help but we were told we had to wait for the hostess, which we did, when the hostess finally showed up along with another hostess we were told it was a 20-30 minute wait outside and 20-25 minute wait inside! (less than helf full restaraunt) all had reservations that would be coming in very soon(which we thought was a little white lie), I mentioned we had a daughter in a wheelchair and they replied said "oh I'm sorry for that" which I replied its not your fault! so we saw other benches and seats that were empty and asked if we could be served there and told that was the takeout area and yes we could sit there, but menu is not the same( thet were not kidding), so we ordered 4 pizzas, two bottles of wine and 4 cokes and 1 beer, after paying I jokingly asked are they round pizzas, and told no square, but I asked why are we seeing round pizzas but we were told the take out pizza is not the same !!! No kidding, it was not Pizza it was thin crust foccacia bread, which was not fresh at all, and prebaked just toppijng added and warmed up, aboslutely horrible, tasteless, carboard, this place has no idea what pizza is... the staff are all extremely arrogant and rude, except the tale out cash register girl who was really marvelous........ and by the way no one ever sat at the empty tables marked reserved....... do not go to this place take your hard earned money runaway and go somewhere else.. this is horrible horrible food and equally horrible, hoffible, rude, arrogant people, they need to go to NYC to know what pizza resembles as they are...
Read moreI recently dined at Mother Pizzaria in Newport for the first time, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed by their pizza craftsmanship. The authentic Naples-style pizza they offer is a true delight. To start, we indulged in a variety of appetizers, including the chop-chop salad, garlic knots, and crockets, all of which were delightful.
Now, let's talk about the pizzas! We had the pleasure of trying three different pies: The Notorious Fig, the Super Tuscan, and the Calabrian Luau. Each pizza was a culinary masterpiece, bursting with flavor and showcasing high-quality ingredients. It's evident that the chefs at Mother Pizzaria take their craft seriously.
To round off our meal, we enjoyed pistachio and stracciatella gelato, which was the perfect sweet ending to our dining experience.
The service was top-notch, with an attentive waitress ensuring our needs were met promptly. Fast service combined with exceptional food makes Mother Pizzaria a must-visit pizza restaurant in Newport.
